I know right? The damage didn't look bad, but the frame and rails were pretty badly bent internally. Plus I knew from trying to move it immediately after the accident, that the transmission was shot. Wasn't worth salvaging in the end.

I'm with you on the paranoia, I'll never have another black car after the Devil's Cobalt that I had the misfortune of driving...

So, after consideration and weighing all our options for now and the future, we decided to change it up and bought a 2011 Charger R/T, and happily the finances worked out. As much as I love the Camaro and everything about it, there were a lot of creature comforts given up in the car, and the Charger has an enormous amount included, as well as being more practical. Of course, I didn't want to sacrifice the power, so we went with the Hemi...the V6 is pretty anemic in a car that size. Also, I was set to get a 6sp 2LT but there were almost none with the options I wanted within 500 miles, sigh.

Anyways, if you see a black Charger waving at you in North DFW, wave back! It'll probably be me, lookin for my Camaro family
