Hope you are following your thread.
You have a 1969 Camaro you are considering selling for a 2010 Camaro (or even 2011 Camaro)? Take it from someone who started driving in early 1967. Selling your 1969 Camaro now you might consider a big mistake in 15 years. Hang on to your 1969. A 5th gen. Camaro also requires maintenance and maintenace on a new Camaro can be as expensive as maintaining an older Camaro. If you love your 1969 Camaro, hold on to it. Trust me. Unless you have an exceptional 1969, numbers matching, restored 1969 Camaro, your 1969 Camaro is nothing but a trade in. Back in the late 60s and early 70s I had two T-Birds, a 1963 & 1966. If I had just parked those two T-Birds in a barn in the 1980s, both would now be worth $45,000 to $85,000. Do not sell your 1969. Your 1969 Camaro represents a time and place in auto history; we can only do our best to maintain old cars for future generations to enjoy. Please, do not sell your 1969 Camaro. Will I regret it most likely, but I'm in a hard spot right now. I do understand the new camaro will need maintenance done from time to time. However, I just don't have the ability/funds to keep up with my 69. So far every month I have drove my camaro it has broke something or something new has worn out. But I knew that's the chance you take owning and actually driving a classic. But with my sercumstances right now I just can't hang onto it.
I just got a special duty assignment to alabama for the next 5 years. I had to sell my wife's car to pay for closing on my house here in nj. That left me with my 05 ram and my 69. When I get down there I am closing on a house and I will be down to one daily use vehicle. My wife is going to use the truck for around the area as it's just horrible on gas(12mpg) and I will be using the funds from my camaro to buy the '11 camaro. The camaro actually has good gas milage and I won't have to worry about storing it as I have no garage at my new house. Believe me when I say I am not happy with getting rid of my 69, but I can tell you now it will not be the last 69 I own. Just right now in my life it is not practical for me and sometimes you have to make a choice. |

The car cover works pretty good. Still alittle dirty but usually i can leave the cover on during the weak, go outside with some spray detailer, pull the cover, wipe it down and it looks great. I like it because it has a really tight fit. BTW black 2010 SS that sits outside.

Yea i usually just stick it in the trunk. When i go to long distance car shows where i have to spend the night, i usually leave the cover on over night. So far i like.

Well, seems I will too. Thanks for the info, IM frigin counting down the hours till I get to go pick it up. Im still like on cloud 9 right now. I want to put the Flowmaster 40 or 44 series on it as I like that sound the most, but I have to see what I can do to the car without effecting the warrenty.

all i can say is check out the paint really well. the dealer scratched yhe hell out of my black SS and they wouldnt fix it so i ended up getting GM involved and the made the dealer give me a diffrent car. And with the black make sure you check out the detail section on here, becouse if you wash that color wrong uou will know it every sunny day.
Good luck with the new ride bro. |

Thanks for the tip. I will make sure to go over it very well. I own a 05 black 1500 so I know first hand what to do wrong on washing...yea let's say it was a very bad mistake that cost me a nice $200 detail and buff job to fix it. I will look into that product, seems the review from owners on here are all positive, so should be an order in the future.
