Just got the call from dealer. There is no more hurst shifter option. That is a little disappointing.

There will be a hurst shifter. But you have to wait for it if you want it to be installed from Oshawa or you have to order it and have your dealer install it. Dry your tears. it's gonna be alright!!

this isn't a repost. people have said there will be delays on the shifter, where as my dealer called and said GM sent them information saying there will be no hurst shifter as an option anymore. period. just the info my dealer got. If it's wrong and its just delayed that would be awesome. But they said its not even an option anymore. I am assuming if it was just a delay then it would still be an option?

Long and short of it:

Last "we" knew it was delayed so they could add it as a factory option instead of only from the dealer. Until I hear different from CamaroScotty or Fbodfather, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I dont know about the shifter but what i do know is that my dealer told me GM gave him the go-ahead on ordering 1 JUST 1 camaro for that months orders. Even though my dealer has 18 bonified orders. So it looks like there gonna let them trickle out of the plant. friggin GM. if people are gonna pay for the car then build it and sell to them. OO not to mention that there closing the order window on march 15 2009. so this means the price is gonna go up after the first round. How bout that S...???

I agree!!! How DARE GM not build more than 600 cars a day starting from day one??? And how dare they close the pre-production ordering afer the pre-production period has ended???

No offense intended, ONEHEAVYCHEVY, but you should take a chill-pill. Production will ramp up as bugs on the line are worked out and QC/QA is confident.

So next month Gm will give him 2 cars or more.

My dealer had 31 and got 3. 1 for 18 is about right; best he could have hoped for was 2 IMO.
