So, how many U.S. V6's have moved beyond 1100? NONE!

And then there's his definitive answer to the ABL....they won't do it if they can't do it right. Now there's some detailed info. for all of us to digest.

Sorry, I'm just a whole lot disappointed right now.
You sure do assume alot... You think every peron that ordered a V6 camaro is on this forum? I doubt it, so how can you actually say with so much certianty no US v6's have not passed 1100? We have only ONE Canadian that has, that does not mean NO US V6 Camaros have not done it...Just none that we know of on here.....
I would not blame Fbodfather if he never told us another thing since so many are now calling him a lier...

Congratulations... so here is the first known V6 US car to move past 1100

If this is True then I think some people will need to send Fbodfather an apology....

Hold on in defense of alllllllll the V6 people that are enthusiasts but not budgeted to have $500-$700 car notes with excellent credit i have to say some of the responses from some of the SS buyers are kind of ridiculous. Like we deserve to be punished because we didn't buy an SS.
Here's some numbers for you big shots who haven't secured financing:
All with 6% rates -
$35k - 60 mnths - $693
$35k - 72 mnths - $596
$34k - 60 mnths - $673
$34k - 72 mnths - $579

So good to know that with the credit freeze that all the $$ buyers have a 720 score or better and have a low debt to income ratio that will get you approved. All of a sudden that V6 doesn't look so bad does it????

cars are like women, some are old, some are new, some get turned on easily some need a lot more help, some you just wanna drive into the river, some you can't wait to get inside of, some are expensive to maintain, some are low maintenance, however if you treat them right, you'll have her for the rest of your life.....

Sounds like they are ASSUMING they get one for April.....but they won't know that yet so if it was me I wouldn't get my hopes up yet :(

i dont think he would email me if he wasnt absolutely sure. even though i do have my hopes up, there is still part of me that thinks its too good to be true, so i wont be totally heartbroken if it's not true.

Whoa there, Skyman, don't be putting words in my mouth. I called no one a liar. I simply pointed out, virtually verbatim, fbodfather's ambiguous statements about V6 constraints and ABL. Inexplicit, vague claims are nothing to believe in, as you said in the top quote, you told us to do. Could I interest you in some fundamentally sound swampland in Florida?

Now, if our pre-order V6's start getting pulled soon here in the U.S., great, but that doesn't diminish the sense in not interpreting his vague statements to mean what we want.

I thought the "vagueness" was cleared up when Scott pointed out "other" types of contraints used to be called "stops".

I guess you must have missed all the posted he made about the V6 constraints then. What he said left nothing ambiguous about them. He said dealers only constraint was on STOCK CARS. they could not order any of them. those are cars they want just to have on their lots. Many dealers evidently think that the constraint is on ALL V6 orders and not just the STOCK cars. and that is where the problem is. the dealers are reading the constraints just as you are and evidently that is not what it is supposed to be.

I will quote Fbodfather here
Quote:
This thread is a classic example of what can happen when we become TOO accessible with information. (and I hate to say that....)

Remember how people went ballistic when they heard we couldn't build all
V8s?

Now there's hysteria over the V6.

This is what the V6 "constraint" means:

You are a "hypothetical" dealer.

You received 8 Camaros as allocation.

You took 2 sold orders and you have a bunch more on order for stock.

The V6 constraint means "OK -- we're looking at your orders -- and we've already placed your two sold orders -- so now we're looking to place a stock order.........Hmmmm.....you have 4 V6 Stock orders and 4 V8 Stock orders -- so because we have a constraint on V6 -- we're gonna select one of your V8 orders.

That's it.

Please.

Calm down.

Look at the way you're talking to each other!

The word "Camaro" means "friend, pal, or comrade" - let's remember that!

As to those who are trying to protect me from the 'onslaught' -- thank you. I cannot answer every email that I get -- I get at least three dozen a day from the Camaro sites -- that does not include the couple of hundred that I get internally form General Motors -- so I simply can't get to each one.
