I have used amsoil in my truck and in my camaro. When I change the oil it is still golden brown.

Anyone ever tore down an engine after using AMSOIL for a while? If so what was is like? Nice and clean or gunked up?

I sell Amsoil as the synthetic of choice at my shop, but I could choose whatever I want. Before I sold it, I used it and what got me to keep it was the automatic fluid. In my 95 Tahoe which still has its original 4L60E, I was dropping the pan every 30K to inspect for clutch material in the pan. The pan was so clean you couldn't see any change when I dragged my finger across the bottom of the pan. I am not abusive to this vehicle, nor does it tow heavy loads, but that year had a high failure rate for GM and I have to think Amsoil made the difference.

Used to use it in a pro stock dirt tracker.... started using it there because the distributor gave us all the products and in turn we plastered his decals all over the car. After seeing a decrease in bearing wear and a dramatic temperature decrease in the rear end I was sold.

I use it in my sport bike..it revs to over 16k rpm..I just did a valve adjustment on it and the inside of the motor looked brand new..I don't use it in my fifth gen but I did use it quite a bit in my 4th gen and when I did the cam swap at 125k miles everything looked really clean..so it def. Didn't hurt running it. When I change my diff. Fluid I plan on using amsoil

Used in my 04 Mustang Cobra's Transmission, before change over to Amsoil no smell, after changeover a nasty gear oil like smell. No leaks, drips, overflow found, just the smell.
