Just so unbelievable and believable all at the same time. You'd think by that point they could fess up with the truth. But apparently the Bill Clinton school of thought prevails; deny, deny, deny. So frustrating.

so this story gets more interesting by the day...
i called my dealer a couple of days ago to cancel my order and he said that before I cancelled would I mind letting him try to see if he could get the car expedited or at least find out what was going on. Figuring I have nothing to lose, I told him to go for it.
Now I forget all the exact words he used, but he calls me back today and says that someone at dealer relations told him the car got pulled for something like a GOVERNMENT inspection? (which apparently is different from GM QC checks) and that he is going to contact some regional manager or something to have them release the car from the factory...
Has anyone heard of anything like this? It sounds like a load of crap to me and he's just trying to buy some time. But I could be wrong. He's been a nice guy through this whole process and I know it's not his fault so I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt... but I've never heard of anything like this.

sounds like US Customs to me... but it could be a Canadian government inspection thing... who knows.
