how bad are peoples vibration? is it just a slight vibration or is it so bad that you have to speed up or slow down to get past the vibration point?

Mine is mild and starts at 70 and above. Can feel in steering wheel and seat. Should not be any vibrations whatsoever in this car!

I can hold in the clutch or put it in neutral and the vibes are still there. I believe that test eliminates the drivetrain. I may have a balance issue or some other tire issue.

Following up here on this similar thread that I already replied to...dealership did a road force balance (2x) and my high speed vibration problem is gone. I am suspecting a weight was thrown at some time. Car rides smooth as silk, as it should.

Thumbs down

In for vibration when giving stiff braking. Idk what the deal is, it just started today @6700 miles...

Does anyones also make a horrible grinding vibrating humming noise when turning? Also started whining too @6000. Rotated my tires @5000 with oil change.

Felt in brake pedal not steering wheel.

Guy's this really does suck for everyone. its funny how when the car was released in 2009 there wasnt much word of these vibrations other than us mentioning it. Some people thought we were crazy and we have exhausted all efforts to isolate this issue. I think as many owners bought these cars for a toy or weekend cruiser nobody really drove their cars past speed limits. As time went on now over 2 years these issues are popping up everyplace. Dealers cant even fix the problem no matter how many times they try.

Its clearly a poor design of the car and nothing else. The driveline angles, the diff, bad axle angle etc. Now for anyone who has modified their cars even to the simplest of things such as cradle bushings you just amplified the issue.

We have found the following things to help:
Index and road force the wheels and tires however the machine needs to be calibrated prior, nobody does this step and it only takes 5 minutes prior.
Single piece wheels do balance smoother than multi piece
Tires really haven't been an issue so just a heads up
Bad rear alignment, too much toe can cause issues as well, best to leave rear toe to zero
check the driveshaft rubber donuts for wear and retorque,
loosen center bearing of driveshaft on a lift and spin assembly and re adjust
Install a single piece driveshaft
if your car is lowered raise the suspension even 1/2 will make a big difference in axle angle
Buy offset differential bushings which raises the diff 1 inch and changes the axle angles by a good margin, this upgrade works wonders.
Stay away from any solid bushings in the rear of the car or engine and trans mounts.

I can really go on and on but for anyone who really needs advice please PM us we have spent more time on this than anyone around and know what works and what doesn't. I hate the break it to you that your going to have to attempt these things on your own since dealers are terrible at resolving such matters.
