Ummm... carry a white piece of paper with you and demonstrate that they are indeed white. Or get a custom plate, like a black one that won't show up with a blue hue. I bet the light flouresses (sp) the blue some how. I have them and have had no problems, but I have black plates.

Have you ever thought that maybe it's because of those cops there is nearly no crime in the area? Would you like them not to patrol in your area? You more than likely have no idea what would happen if they were not around. if they didn't stop people going 4 over the 30 MPH speed limit, the next thing you know you have people doing 60 in a 30 like many do on the street where I live.

IMO, some cops just look for a reason to pull someone over such as the taillight. It's called probable cause instead of profiling.

I was going to say the same thing. Complain about the cops and in the same breath mention that there's no crime in the area?
As for getting pulled over for doing 34 in a 30 - DUH! That's more than 10% above the posted limit. 84 in a 75? Same thing. Drive the speed limit and you won't get pulled over.

When you complain about the police for doing their jobs, it just sound juvenile and ridiculous.

I understand you have the utmost respect for police officers but do you think its cool he busts your balls for something that petty. How can you respect that guy, is that what he should be doing. I bet he sleeps well at night knowing he really upheld the law that night.

Thebighar - I wouldn't be excited to get pulled over for something like 34 in a 30, but I wouldn't fault the person for doing their job. And yeah, that probably is what he's supposed to be doing. Many departments have cops that do specific duties. He might be the guy who watches residential traffic stuff. He might be in a bad mood and you may get popped for something trivial. But you can't fault him for doing his job. That's really my point here. Live and learn. And drive the speed limit, too.

There are a few different LED Temperatures/colors available for our license plate lights. I got ones from v-leds.com that are rated at 5K... they have less blue than most of the normal 6K 'cool white' that have more blue to them.

Not to thread jack, but when the speed limit changes from 45 to 25, do you have a certain distance or amount of distance after passing the 25mph sign to get to that speed? Or do you need or have to be going that speed at the sign??????

If You're Gonna Get Pulled Over...

... make it worth their while

Frankly, for white lights that have a "blue" hue because of the color on a license plate, that is pretty chickensh-- (and I'm married to a police officer). I'd leave it and if you get stopped again, ask him (politely) what statute he's citing you for. Take pictures of the back of your car (with & without the license plate) to show the change in "hue", if that's the violation. Especially if other cars' OEM plate lights do the same thing. And I agree with a previous poster - very well could've been "profiling." It's happened to me, too.
