Took my car in today and the BCM died! They have to overnight one and replace it tomorrow. Anyone else had this issue?

We live in Houston area and have a little guy with a red cape and pitchfork run across our lawn in the summer. Needless to say..A/C is a must. I agree..since we've had ours (April)...the A/C just hasn't been...well..COLD! My F150 gets cold really quick! I"m hoping this recall and re-program fixes that. We'll see this week....going in on Friday.

contact BeckyD@RodgersChevrolet.
she's a sponsor here and she can see if your car's on the recall list.

The program is for a possible loss of air conditioning. I don't have the full list of symptoms but if your vehicle doesn't feel like it's getting quite cold enough you can talk to Becky, myself or your dealership to check to see if your vehicle is involved in this program. I hope that helps to answer your question for you Shu71. I'm sorry to hear about your BCM Stingraye. I hope everything goes ok from here on out for you. If you run into any other trouble let me know and I'll do what I can for you.

Well, mine goes in tomorrow for both the air conditioner recall and to have them look at the wear marks in the top. The air conditioner once did not come on for me but I turned the car off then back on and everything was fine. This didn't work for the top

I got my AC fixed yesterday (Wednesday 07/06) and I also noticed that it does make the car cooler as well. Most of my trips are short ones, but when it's early in the morning and the sun isn't at it's peak yet...you could freeze meat in that car. On longer trips, it also kicks in quite well. I certainly noticed a difference since the fix.

got my letter, and it took about an hour to fix. The only thing I ever had problems with, after a long hot day of driving, the compressor sounded rough, but it still blew cold air and did turn off

Tell me about your puncture marks? My vert is only a month old. Last night I noticed one on the passenger side. Today I notice one that appears to be starting on the driver side.

Well I got a letter. Not wanting to bring it in tho. Mine works fine and I live in the south, so I would know if it's not up to par. I'm afraid I'm gonna lose my tune as I read on the first page that the ECM gets updated too. Any thoughts?

Had mine reprogrammed about 2 weeks ago, everything was fine. Until, this weekend. Back to blowing semi-cold on passenger side and warm on driver. Temps in 90's all week! Called dealer, soonest they can get me in would be Friday. Called every other dealer within a 70 mile radius, still can't get anything earlier than Friday. This is a big inconvienence for me as I sweat my butt off everythime I'm in car with these temps. Chevy should somehow take people with this problem and give some type of priority. I think I should get some sort of compensation for this, afterall, this is the second time! Really frustrated, maybe some free oil changes or something else may sooth the iratation I feel right now.

I haven't had any ac problems whatsoever, but while in the shop last week getting the convertible top replaced they did the recall.

ok update. Called GM customer care. told them to please find me a sooner appt from another dealer up to 60 miles away. They said I should keep original appt. because soonest anyone else had was the 20th! But gentleman said he'd push the issue up the chain and see what happens. Well,at 8:20 yesterday morning I get a call from dealership to bring car in asap. Did so. Now get a call from dealer today saying there was no freon in it. He put new freon with dye to spot leak. Says he can't find any leak. Wanted to know if I want to pick up car and bring back when it goes warm again. I said,NO! You have the car ,fix it. Also forgot, when I put ac on before, mileage on DIC would go from 19's to 11!! Somethings not right. Good thing in Pa. if I bring car in for same problem and its not fixed....Lemon Law. Don't want to go that route since I'm attached to my car, just want and wish it gets fixed. Anyone know what could be wrong? Compressor? Dealer said it was now blowing cold air,but doesn't know for how long. Any suggestions on what I should do?
