Looking for some opinions

Ladies and Gentlemen, I have one final (I think, anyway, that this will be the last one) submission. We'll call this one Option 6. I know a few people have posted about doing a black-out bowtie. I, at first, thought that a black bowtie on a black panel would probably not look too good, until I did a google search and found out that there are a lot of kits that only replace the gold with black, and keep the chrome border. So, of course I had to do that up in MS Paint as well, to see how it might look. I'm kind of thinking I may have found a winner. I'm really digging how this looks. It keeps the bowtie, and has that emblem in the center so it doesn't look too plain, but with a blackout center portion of the emblem, it still ties it all together and keeps that panel mostly black. I think it looks good.

If I go this route, I'll probably pick up some of these: http://www.sfxperformance.com/parts/ALS96110K.htm Seems like a halfway decent price.



Anyway, here's option 6:





I think, at this point, we can go ahead and discount Options 1 and 2. I wasn't a big fan, and they didn't seem to be too popular anyway. I've been really torn between 3 and 4, but I think I'm starting to feel like it really does need the bowtie back there to keep from being too plain. So I'm kind of ruling out #3.

Now, it's between #4 (gold bowtie center) #5 (IOM bowtie center) or #6 (black bowtie center). I'm really leaning towards #6, maybe #4, but I don't know that I really like #5 (just too much IOM).

So, #4, #5, or #6? Which one looks the best?

#6 is In It, To Win It! My IOM has a black bowtie and you just may have convinced me to do the blackout panel. I think I'll keep my chrome bezels to match the chrome outline on the bowtie. T.Y.!!!

#4 Like the black painted bezels A guy we met yesterday had his painted body color and they looked great. Thinking about doing the same now. Took the Bowtie and SS emblem off and went this route.

To each, his own. The retro SS bags are alright and all, but just not my thing. I personally prefer the modern style SS badges. I think the retro SS badges are cool, and I can't knock anyone for putting them on their car, but its just not my style. The world wouldn't be as interesting a place if we all had the exact same tastes.

I'm definitely really digging option #6. I really think that the black bowtie emblem looks awesome with the overall color scheme. I think it ties everything together nicely. It gives it that extra something it would be missing without the bowtie, but with the black center of the bowtie it keeps the color scheme, and doesn't stick out too obviously. I think its just understated enough. Its there, but its not too flashy, either.

I put the SS on the front, but did something different on the back. I blacked out the trunk lid and exhaust bezels then removed the block letters from the front fenders and put one back at the trunk, I was going with SS, but just thought id be different.

That's for sure! Went back and forth with what badges to put on. Decided to go oldschool a bit and the back emblem was free from a fellow boardmember
