Unfortunately, I think the hood sensor is part of the latch, requiring replacement of the entire assembly...if that is the cause of the problem.

Thanks. It sucks cuz it just started out of nowhere, which I no is what usually happens lol, and then the alarm going off. Cant leave the car unlocked so that it doesnt happen but also cant have the alarm going off in the middle of the night either. So I parked the car for the winter. Little early but at least its in the garage now and can take the latch apart and see whats up and replace if needed.

Just replaced the hood sensor yesterday and locked the car. Car sat for almost 24 hrs and then bam alarm goes off. Sit in car and the dash says hood open. Anyone know how to go about tracking the issue? Car is tuned with headers so not sure how it works if it's a bad bcm or ecm or ?. Any input is greatly appreciated.
Oh I haven't driven the car very much due to this issue and don't want the alarm going off whenever I park it somewhere
