Hell yeah it is. That's still not even half the price of a bogart that isn't intended for street use.

I think there are still a lot of unanswered questions on these wheels. Apparently they have more experience with Mustangs. BTW, I believe the clearance problems with the Welds is on the 17" wheels.

What makes you think you can't run the Drag Stars on the street??? They is nothing saying they are intended for track use only. I think you got them confused with the Bogarts. Two totally different class of wheels.

It says on their website that they don't recommend the front 17 x 4 1/2 wheels for street use. There is an * on the price sheet by the skinnys.

Well that sounds about right. 179 seemed to good to be true. The weld is about $500 a rim though so I'm still considering these on the front. If they can make 18"s in the rear for close to the same price I will still probably go this route instead of skinnies and 18" vette rims.

Oooops! Yep, you're right, I remember seeing that now. But that pretty much goes for ANY front skinny set-up, they are not meant for the street!!! John at "M&H" tire even told me the skinny tires are not meant for the street, even though they say DOT approved. Nobody is going to physically stop you from doing it, but ultimately ANY Fatty/Skinny set-up is intended for track use only.

Very true, these weren't recommended for street use either, but it didn't stop me from daily driving them almost 100 miles a day.

Here some pics of em, I'll try them tonight. Can I cut the roller skate things off with a sawzall on the car? Or do I need to remove the caliper and pads to do it? Pics:

Thanks for the post, and the pics. I'm definitely curious to see if these will fit. Although I have my doubts, simply because R.S.I. says they are currently working on the Drag Star fitment for the 2010 Camaro. So, that tells me something about their currently available wheels doesn't fit right. Plus, I think you might need the "centered" washers instead of the offset. If you got these from that Mustang guy, I'm pretty sure they used the offset washers like you have pictured. But definitely give it a shot, and let us know what you find out. Sorry, I can't answer the question about cutting off the Roller-Skates, my car never had 'em.

A sawzall is pretty violent; I'd use a dremel or cutting disc. You could risk damaging the seals with the vibration a sawzall makes.

I have an ass-load of lugs and washers from the previous few sets of fats and skinnies, so I should be good at trying them on. The guy I got them from called race star yesterday and they said they would fit. Might be tight on the rear, and I may have to grind a little on the control arm. I'm not to worried with that. A control arm is easily replaceable. I can't promise you guys I'll get them on tonight, as my backup camera came in and I'm impatiently wanting to put it in too. I will take pics of the car when I get them one there, but I'm probably not going to buy them unless someone buys the front and rear tires from me. I'll let them go cheap too. The slicks are in good shape with quite a few passes left and the fronts don't have but a hundred or so miles on the. And the fronts are almost $200 each.
