LOL - I didn't mean to imply a "As Seen On TV" item sale, rather I've seen it reviewed on shows like "HorsePower", "Trucks" and the like, and in performance
magazines like "Chevy High Performance".

You guys are fricken' killing me

That dude just got arrested for beating up a lady of the evening too.

Back on target: http://www.chevyhiperformance.com/te...all/index.html

That article goes through the steps of installation, but doesn't post results that I can find.

If it works as advertised, may be worth buying one and running 89 octane fuel for best $/performance ratio
on that LS3.

hmm....well i dont know then... It might be.Then again they could be paid to tell you that it works. Maybe someone on here has tried it. But I really dont see how a lil thing to put in the fuel line would increase the octane.

I've seen a couple reviews, both on TV and in magazines that reported good results. Install the catalyst, run 87 octane fuel in your system and it 'magically' creates 89 octane fuel as it passes through the catalyst canister. They claim it'll up the octane level by two points, so 89 becomes 91, 91 becomes 93.

With the price differences in the different levels, the canister could pay for itself in a year or so ($175.00).

Would love to hear from some of you who have used this before.
Sounds like some of the of "incredible" (read:unbelieveable) things I've seen hawked on TV... Like those fuel magnets Sorry, just wouldn't waste my money

When I was young & dumb I used to think octane was the win and this shamrock had a Howell Racing Gas 104 octane. I wasted money on it and all it did was foul my plugs.

If it sounds too good to be true...

Should have done more research before even posting my original question.
Several sites debunk the claims of the Fitch Fuel catalyst and other miracle fuel/economy fuel saving devices.

Here is one: http://www.fuelsaving.info/catalysts.htm

So, in closing, anyone know where I can get 91 octane unleaded fuel cheap in the Kansas City area?

will the v6 camaro get better performance if it used premium gas, or is it just a waste because it would perform the same with regular gas?
Anyone can help?

Unleaded because it's calibrated for it to get max MPG with it (V6). Try to get fuels without ethenol if available (the good stuff).

Don't waste your money that way either. If the V6 was designed and tuned with regular in mind, it will be best to run it that way.

Agreed. Although I have heard that running through a tank of premium before taking it to the track would be beneficial. But that's just hearsay, as far as I'm concerned...

Here in Iowa, the midgrade IS the cheap stuff. It's mixed with state-funded ethanol.

The difference between regular at 87 octane and so called premium at 92 is not enough of a boost to warrant paying the extra price. By the time the high octane stuff gets transported in dirty trucks and sits in below ground tanks I will guarantee no gas station will promise you that the gas they sell is truly 92 octane. Ive worked in the fuel industry for 20 years, trust me you are not getting a better grade of fuel paying the higher price
