even though the 350z is the inferior performer, I much prefer its look over the 370Z...

i'll just beat the dead horse though and say for the money, get a SS

My vote goes to the Camaro. The Camaro is a head turner, its a true muscle car. Its a car that is gonna be remembered 45 years from now. The SS is the better value with the V8.

That being said, if you really like the style of the car, go for it.
It will keep up with the SS actually, not beat it, unless the SS driver sucks but it will for sure keep up, and actually it also has the fact that it can corner going for it.

Well everyone seems to think that Dual Clutch Transmissions are Automatic's even though they AREN'T and they launch like crazy. I test drove the 370Z and you can feel the power during the shifts, it is likely the fastest shifting automatic that I have ever driven.

U can't compare the Camaro V6 to the high end Nissan. Compare it to the SS and then the Camaro wins everytime. Besides, Nissan is rice anyway.

Test drove a 370Z prior to purchasing my SS. Out of the cars that I test drove that day, other than the Camaro, I liked it the best.

It had crisp handling, light weight, and looks amazing

But on the down side: it has no back seat and it's slow compared to the SS. Also the suspension was really hard on the one I drove.

You can buy whatever you like but I personally would NEVER let a ricer park in my driveway much less buy one.

I've been a pretty big Nissan fan throughout the years. Drove a 240SX from 92-98 and loved it! I am currently in an Altima since 08 and it's not exactly a fun a car, but it gets the job done pretty well.

I test drove a 370 back in May and wasn't all that impressed with it... Seemed sluggish for having 330+hp, Cabin noise was pretty bad and there was no seperation between the cabin and the trunk... I also found that the blind spots in it were massive... Not that the Camaro has much, if at all, better visibility. I was pretty sold on it before even test driving it, and convinced I would be leaving the dealership with one when I pulled in... The lack-luster test drive and a pretty negative experience with the dealership I went to killed it for me.

Not sure what they're going for now, but back when I was looking it was about 44k for a fully loaded 370Z. Knowing that you can get a 2SS for 6-7k less than that, not sure why you would you would consider the 370.

I'd get an SS.

SS with long tubes can't be compared to a 370z. Two completely different animals. 6.2L V8 with headers is pure music. 370z - cute but doesn't do anything for me.

How many 370z are running low 12s with just basic bolt ons?

I am glad I wrote this tread, I was really considering trading her in on a 370 for a little cheaper then a 1SS but you know what, I think I am going to save some money and stick with the winner the Camaro SS. I have never driven a SS for a couple reasons, one being that if I did I would not ever want to drive my V6 again!!!!!

The 370z is a quick car, and it's not bad looking. But if I had a choice between an SS and a 370z? I'd go with the SS.

I just bought my SS a week ago and the 370z was 3rd on my list of cars wants...

1st was Corvette, second was Camaro.

After really thinking it through, I just could not have lived with my self for buying a 2 seater with a 2 year old at home.

I did take the 370z for a test ride and after that I knew the Corvette or Camaro were my only real choices as they were both quicker and got a lot more looks from everyone.

Choice is always yours, but IMO the chevys are just in a different league. And this is coming from someone that was definitely interested in buying the Z less that 2 weeks ago....

The 370z is $23,900. How could he find an SS for that? Also, the car is in MN, what would it cost to ship it?

I like the 370Z a lot. If that's what you want, then go for it!

But as pretty much everyone has said, the 2SS has a lot more potential. A bigger engine means easier to get more horsepower. By now, they have pretty much nailed down the Camaro and most new camaro owners don't face any problems and if they do, that's what the 3 year bumper-to-bumper is for!

Whatever you decide, good luck!
