The old Red Jewel is too dark for my taste. I hope the new Crystal Red is lighter, more candy apple, and less burgundy.

It does not apply on any of these colors or trim at the moment.
If it did, it is a foot note 5 Which says " Interim availability. Additional charge- premium tintcoat. Not available on LS
but again none of the above have the 5 foot note.

On 10-06-2011 Anna from Sparta Chevrolet said that the new colors for 2012 Camaros were the Ashen Gray and Crystal Red Claret. See this thread on the 5th Gen. General discussion Thread:

Then it was posted that the Crystal Red Tintcoat (2011) was renamed on Camaro (2012) as being Crystal Red Claret. See this thread:

They do. I have seen a Z06 in Crystal Red.
To me, it looks better on a truck and not a vette or camaro..
again...this is just me....

The victory red on a vette is Torch Red..... same as from the early 60's models..
it is BRIGHTER than Victory or has a brighter contrast so to speak..

You need to order your camaro in Crystal Red... it is the same as the claret...
you will be fine... trust me....

First time I saw Crystal Red Tintcoat was on a Vette about a month ago. I was sitting in Wal-Mart parking lot in full sun and it literally shined so bright it left spots in your eyes after looking away. If any color would make me switch from IOM it would be CRT.
