I got $9500 for my 2002 Z28 w/ 98,000 miles on it a few months ago. It took several months to get that price, and the market value (kbb, etc.) dropped dramatically from the day I put it out there.

Personally, I haven't noticed ANY price drop. I couldn't find a single deal that made me go "oh, this is a steal, I have to get this!" The only ones reasonably priced, IMO, are the ones with 150k miles. But hey, maybe that's just me. I really don't want to pay 10k+ for a 10-15 year old car, with 100,000+ miles on it. I know it's not that bad everywhere, but where I live, you can't find a better deal than that in a 1000 mile radius.

If they are going down in price then somebody hasn't told this guy. This was listed in my local paper.

I wouldnt expect a SS with 25k to be $5000. And 100k is NOTHING for these motors. Oh, and wernt all the SS cars by SLP?

Well this is all good news to me. I have wanted a camaro since i was 11 (im 23 now). I think now is probably the best time to get rid of the civic, it just doesnt cut it anymore.

The only people who think a 4th gen LS1 will hold it's current value are LS1 owners. The price for a decent Z28 or T/A is about 6-7K, in the next year with the 5th gen out and people trading up to the new car the market will get flooded and prices with drop 1-2K off of current prices. I'm waiting till next spring to buy a 99-02 Z28 to make a track car and am willing to spend between 4-5K (closer to 4). I figure that shouldn't be all the difficult for a 99 or 00.

I would say anything from a '96 to 2002 SS or WS6 with very low miles is going to bring a decent price. I passed in a '96 ss last fall with 16K on it for 12K that I wish I would have bought now. The really nice ones are going away fast and the few left are bringing a pretty good price considering their age. As time goes by there will be fewer and fewer really nice unmolested one with very low miles.
