I would think so. The muffler is what ends up fine-tuning the sound coming out of the system. Ricers often have cheap cambel's soup cans down there and that results in what is refered to online as a "fart cannon"

which do we have stock? X or H?

I guess that is possible. It might have a bit more "growl" with that setup than the LLT does, but as always it depends a lot on what mufflers you are running out back on whether or not you will really hear it or not.

my girlfriend (who doesnt fully get cars, but in a good way) suggests that it is a genuinely selfless act to get the headers bc i would be driving and ppl outside would get to enjoy the sounds - she says it's almost community service LOL

The CAI, made a big difference in the sound and I don't have the exhaust done just yet...

sounded completely like a 6 to me.

Nothing sounds like a real V8!

I'll agree to the extent that you just can't EXACTLY reproduce the sweet V8 sound with a 6, but damn you can get some sweet sexy sounds with the V6 as well and if you think you can't, well thats just simply ignorance or denial.

Plus, theres the many times we've all had strangers mistaken a customized V6 for a V8...happens all the time.

i dont want this thread to go the way of most v6 exhaust threads go --- v8 envy

I agree with KMPrenger

...goes the other way too - idk how the hell the german auto co.s manage to get their v8s to sound so boring

and then there's the strange 1: Porsche. Until recently all road-car Porsches were 6 cyclinder, with the new-comers Cayenne and Panamera being the exception (as well as the carerra GT)
