I have flashed the ECM on my diesel and returned it to stock and warranty things have never been an issue with it either.

The bottom line is, you gotta pay to play. I know the risks. I also understand that if I break my transmission from running too much power I am not going to GM to fix it. Unfortunately, too many people want to make more power, they break things and then want GM to pay for it. This then forces more and more dealerships to try and void warranty claims. Classic has been great with our Pontiac and given us no issues at all. Moritz is where I take the truck and they've been great too. I will probably start taking the truck and the Camaro to Classic since they have such great reviews here and are much closer to me than Moritz.

I know that within the first two weeks of me getting my Camaro I'll have a tune on it. The G8 jumped about 30HP to the wheels with just a tune. Too much fun to be had with a tune. LOL
The G8 made great gains with a tune because that engine is more detuned than the LS3. The vette's don't gain 30rwhp with just a tune. They usually gain ~25 rwhp with a tune AND a CAI though.

GMPP Parts

Use GM performance parts and have the dealer install them and your warrenty will not be voided.

They don't usually make the power as aftermarket parts, which is the trade off to keep your warrenty.

Which part is'nt correct Robin? By the way, the GMPP catback system sure is a lot smaller of a unit than the factory muffler. It must be quite a bit louder huh?

The part about GMPP parts not voiding your warranty. GMPP sells plenty of parts that will void the shit out of your factory powertrain warranty.

What's wrong with planning in advance? There's so much we already know about this car, so we know the area's we see fit to be improved.

How about they give us the option then. If you know you're going to void the warranty then why not give us the consumer the option to opt out and offer a discounted price on the car. Doesn't everyone win that way?

Eh ya, mine will be arriving in the next week or two and I have already got the dealership trying to find me the shorty headers, CAI and Catback. If they tell me that anyone of these GMPP parts void my warranty, my response will be hell ya then throw a cam in as well.

I understand you can't have enough of a good thing, but maybe you should try driving it unmodified for an hour or 2 before you plan extensive modifications and void portions of your warranty.
I will drive it unmodified.... from the dealer to my house. then out to dinner that night, then to the shop to start going over things.

because LSX motors have been out for over a decade now and we know the power gains that we want. not to mention, a large amount of people on here are enthusiasts, not the average consumer (that will be buying this car to get from A to B). we've had over 2 years to contemplate what we want to do with this car.

I was in Chevrolet Service for years.

Buy a second PCM, and pop the stock unit in for dealership visits.

Of course, that only works if there are no other detectable mods.

just make sure you can edit the odometer readings as well. lol

If they TRY to deny your warranty contact a Lemon Law lawyer. It might take along time to get satisfaction but its better than doing nothing and most lemon law lawyers dont charge you unless you get something.
