This thread from a couple days ago may help:

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20605

This guy took pics of his HID's and comparison shots. I believe he said the fogs automatically turn off when night sensor lights are activated and you can't run halo's and fogs at the same time.....but don't hold me to that. Hope it helps.

P.S. He has a mean looking front/side view pics of the halos.

Like I said in the other topic:

If anyone looks carefully, the HIDs on the RS package are completely different lamp housings with unique bezels, reflectors and lenses with additional lamps and lenses for the Halo lights as well as a mechanical actuator assembly for the Low/High beams in each light.

If all you care about is the brighter light, then you can pop in a $200 HID bulb/transformer into your existing halogen lamps and the lights will be brighter, but this will NOT give you the halo setup of an RS.

When people start talking about upgrading to HIDs in the aftermarket for $200, this is what you're going to get. I think it is very misleading to say $200 to upgrade the lights because many people are going to assume they will be able to get the RS "look" with the Halos and projector lens, and that ain't gonna happen for $200.

There's too much involved in the Camaro HIDs. Upgrading is going to cost some serious $$$.

Maybe, maybe not. If it is possible, it won't be a simple swap of parts. It could end up costing you as much as the whole RS package when all's said and done.

My understanding is the HIDs with single function lights are not as expensive as those with double function. I believe the Camaro's HIDs are low/high beam, and some aftermarkets are not. If this is incorrect let me know.

Earlier in time they stated 1200 was a good price for the RS package, even if Halos were the only thing you wanted.

So let me make sure I've got this right since some of these posts are contradictory: With the RS package:

During the day the headlights are off and the DRL's are on. However, you can turn them off.

At night, the halos and HIDs are on and the DRLs are off and there is no way to turn them on.

At dusk, the halos are on, HIDs and DRLs are off and no way to turn the DRLs on.

So basically, with the RS package you do not have fog lights, you have DRLs and you cannot use them as fog lights. They will not turn on with the headlights.

Is that right?

Exactly; Now who knows how to fix this problem as i'd like my halo's on during the day and my fogs/DRLs on at night along with my HIDs&halos?
