If you are in Tucson? come to the meetings at Watson and look in the regional section if you haven't already.

Actually the mufflers are different and the v6 version has a resonator "box" where the v8 version has an x-pipe.
I don't have anything that could get good video/sound or I'd post up some clips.

Yes, I'm in Tucson. I've been to the regional forums before and have posted a few times over there. Haven't been able to make any of the meetings yet as they always seem to be on days that I'm working. I hope to get to one at some point, I'd love to hear how your car sounds with the Cherry Bombs on!

Hey taintedveins i have always said the cherry bomb's sound good on a v6 i wanted to get them for my old car!!! Im going to Laughlin for the run to the fun cant wait to hear them in person and yes Poormanscamaro will be there too!!! he help me install them on my L99 and we had fitment issues but as for sound its like he said they were a little tame... so i am going a different route with my car and im going to sell them but only as axle backs im using the x-pipe and mid pipes for my new setup... if you know someone who's interested in them let me know!!! see you in a few weeks

Nobody ended up posting a video? I have been looking into the cherry bomb cat back fr a while now. I didn't realize it was an option to run the v8 system though. Any words of advice? Id love to hear the sound difference on a v6 if you guys can post.

AND I was really interested in this option & asked a few members here what they thought. It seems that the general consensus is that it is a great option. (+) Sounds fantastic Closer to that deeper v8 sound (-) Tips stick out a bit at the back Cabin noise

Thanks for posting those. I love the sound from the outside of the car. Not sure how bad the drone really is inside. Don't the x pipes help with the drone in the catback? is it worth buying the v8 version over the v6 version?

if not then the axel back mrt 1 is also a decent option (i dont buy into the hype for anything but ppl here swear by it, so that is reassuring) this is just what my decision came down to. unfortunately i did neither bc i became a bit strapped for cash the money that was intended for the exhaust purchase was redirected to a vararam CAI, which makes the car grumble quite nicely now

Both the v8 and v6 versions are 2.5" pipe all the way back, the v6 has the resonator box that, with my longtube headers, would've been nice to have. I added a set of short cherrybomb glasspacks to take the drone away, but it's still nice and loud at the track.
