Even if the tune has been flashed back to stock, the adapts may need to be reset in order for the trans to "reset" itself.

You have quite a few good shops to choose from in Houston. Take the car somewhere else.

They know how to fix it with a stock tune and chevy parts.
They need your business.
There are other GM service depts within an hour drive if they mistreat you.

Or find another reputable Camaro performance shop and pay to have it fixed there.

You have options.

btw - any chance you are still running the factory tires?
yes I'm still running on factory tires

Is a local shop in Houston. And apparently they don't know what they are doing with the automatic transmission.

Or better yet, if they won't give your money back, tell them if you go somewhere else and they fix it with a tune....you want your money back from them and pay for the tune that fixed it.

They won't give the money back, that's why they make you sign that paper after paying. And I'm pretty sure is because of the tune.

Why don't you just tell us what shop it is? So we know not to ever go to this idiot!

Well, if you drive an automatic, don't go to G. Force. Everything else seems to be ok.

When the shift times are too low they will drag into gear and/or flare then bang into gear. These transmissions need ample time to complete the shift. Its not like a turbo 350. The shift pressures need to be firmed up some, and my car's shifts feel the best at .25 seconds. Anything quicker than that...ie... .15, caused a mushy shift after the adapts learned some.

The way headers can effect a trans tune is due to delivered torque to the transmission, the shift pressures, times, and adapts all are based off of engine torque.

These transmissions really need to have the adapts reset after each reflash. Otherwise you are cluttering new parameters with old learned data. It will still learn, but it will take a while, they always are learning and adapting. Use of the resets just takes some of the time off.

RUN

Dude - with all due respect, take your vehicle to a reputable shop/immediately!

Reviewing the website: "We also have 2 salesmen by the phone at all times!".....

Good Luck!

Ouch!

G-force? Just go talk to the guys and tell them you need a solution so that your car doesnt get messed up. They are a good group of guys and they will take care of you.

If they feel they dont have a solution then asked them for your money back and tell them you feel it is only fair. Then get with Ted at JRE. He tuned my L99 and it runs like a champ. The only problem I have with Ted's tune is I cant keep my foot out of the gas pedal now!

Love it!!!
