If you contact Hurst they will probably send it to you if you didn't get it. I didn't put it on in mine. Only when hammering on it in certain gears does any noise appear. Doesn't bother me.

I am putting mine in this weekend. I may put some of the dyna mat material on some rods or shafts but not on anything that articulates. Maybe that option will work like the wheel weights on the Brembo's.

I didn't use the kit and had some buzz in different gears without my hand on the shifter. I used teflon tape on the shifter ball threads and have no noise now.

I have but I still get rattle, like above 5800 RPM it's very prominent. Is that normal?

Your favorite part will be getting the boot back on. The part that does the rattling is the pin that connects the shifter and shaft and it's clips. The little pieces of dyna mat will probably stop it but I wasn't gonna crawl under for that! lol Also put a little locktight on the two bolts that attach the shifter to the chrome handle. They otherwise might loosen up.

Oh and try not to punch yourself in the face pulling off the old shift knob.

I actually did the interior disassembly last weekend and was very aware of that possibility. I felt it "give" a little and was ready for it to pop off. It was a very controlled removal.

That's good. It's a pretty easy install except for getting the damn boot back on. I had to back the trans mount bolts almost all the way out to get any room and do it blind. Many. Many curse words. lol

Well thats my plan, back out the first trans crossmember bolt all the way out and then reinstall it a few turns, and do the other three the same way for max clearance. If that doesn't work I will break out the bottle jack and drop it a little more.

mine rattles under load over 3k. I did put on 1 of the supplied vibration pads, but may now go back and add another. I want to try the Teflon tape idea first though.

That's exactly how I did it. It's tight but I've had worse.

Hurts Shifter / Dust Boot

Can anyone tell me where I can obtain the dust boot cover that is installed underneath the cra?

I had the Hurst Shifter installed and the transmissin chewed up the dust boot cover under the car? Has anyone have this happen to them?
