Mine got stuck in the driveway with the P Zeroes, they are less than worthless in the white stuff!

Which are better Pirellis or Blizzaks?

Have a 2LT being built next week and trying to get the dealer to hold it until end of March.

If I need to take earlier, will need to pull the trigger on snows.

I bought 4 Blizzak tires, Pressure sensors, and 4 new 19" rims for winter from tirerack. They mounted them, balanced them, and shipped them fast. I installed them in my garage in just a little bit of time. All in all It ran me ~$1700, which was much cheaper than what les schwab quoted me and now I can just switch back and forth between those and my summer tires and not have to pay someone. The cost is even cheaper if you don't care about the pressure sensors. Why spend so much on a car and not invest in some decent tires for winter?

I did the same...ordered tire and wheel package from Tirerack.com. Rudy over there is great to deal with. I got 17" Blizzaks mounted on Moda wheels (no TPMS) for around $800 shipped. The car handles the snow great with them....better than my wife's FWD Traverse!

Night and day. It's all about the tires.

I just went out and bought a used jeep for $2000 for the winter. Figure it would have cost me about the same for complete set of snow tires. Plus its less wear and tear on the camaro in the winter with all the sand and rock salt

I was worried about that but I had enough angle so that the tire hit and not the rims. I was very lucky they came out of this ordeal unscathed.

I kept thinking, why the hell didn't I get the road hazzard warrentee from the dealer? Luckily I didn't need it, but lesson learned summer tires in the snow = never again...

Grew up on the tip of Lake Michigan where needless to say its usually feet of snow. Been driving Camaros since I had a license and from experience I can tell you a good set of tires and a 70 lb sand bag in the trunk will make all the difference.

Blizzaks on mine, and they work great. Over 4 years, my set is less than the deductible if I schmucked the car once a winter.

I've had mine out in the snow a couple times, but try to avoid it.

I will say that the stabilitrac system is pretty sweet. Never had a vehicle with anything like it before.
