That I bought it to pick up women.

I don't really fall into the speed all the time stereotype, but I do love the thrill of accelerating up to speed.

They all rightly assume that I'm as mackin' in my swag as my Camaro is fresh.

They assume four things since I'm 21:

Daddy bought my car
Got it because it looks fast
Got it to get girls
I don't know anything about my own car because I'm young

Love this because I do the same thing!! Even better is when I tell them my future mods (headers, tunes, suspension mods, etc) and they realize I'm REALLY into it. All the sudden their perspective changes. haha. YAY for girls who know their stuff!

Since I drive a Camaro, people assume...
1. I want to hear about the Camaro they use to have and how they should've never gotten rid of it.
2. I want to race.
3. Transformers is the reason I bought it.
4. Yellow was sold out. (my car is black)
5. I hate Mustangs.
6. I'm rich.
7. I speed all the time.
8. It's all I care about.
9. I don't drive in the winter.
10. I want to know what THEY think I should do to MY car. Even though I never asked.
11. I call my car bumblebee.
12. It can't possibly be my every day car.
13. ?
14: people assume i am a immature a**hole of a teenager who
has copped an attitude because of the camaro! (this is,of course, NOT true, however the car does make me feel much younger while driving it,and that ain't "half bad!")..just sayin'

Think I am rich. Hell, I have made decisions, made sacrifices, that have allowed me to buy my car.

I get so tired of hearing people say "Must be nice"... They could do the same!!!!

I have to say I fall into this category. My first car was a '69 Camaro that I bought for $350 when I was 16. It was beat up and tired when I got it. I didn't have enough money to pay for repairs, so I learned how to do them myself. (Remember libraries?) I worked minimum wage jobs to pay for insurance, gas and parts. I learned early from that car about hard work and how to get by on less.
All my life since then has been one used car, truck, or van after another. Being careful never to live out of my means like so many do. Well after thirty plus years of working, I decided along with my wife that we deserve something nice for a change. After all, we earned it! It was a team effort. We got our dream car, and never looked back.
Now I get irritated when people treat us with that kind of cold derision. And why is it always so fashionable to hate people because they are perceived to have more money? Maybe they earned it the hard way! It's not for any of us to judge. We got our Camaro for US. It makes us happy and we enjoy the hell out of it! We didn't get it to impress anybody. Life is too short for that!

The older I get, (49), the less I care about what others think. We love our Camaro and that is all that matters. They can think and say whatever they want, it gives them something to do. LOL
