Welcome to the site! Congrats on the 2LS. I just bought my 1LS in November - absolutely love it so far!

That's exactly what I want to do, red halo rings & everything. How much did I all cost in total?

They are actually amber, not red. When you see them in person they do look clearly orange.

And because of this, they are legal!

The halos and the fogs cost about $275

The relay that I have set up (it basically makes the halos the only things on during the day aka my new DRLs, and at night my headlights turn on automatically and the halos, both fogs and headlights, stay on) was made from a member on this site for about 50 dollars for both sides and shipping

So you are telling me red is illegal :/. Since I have the ls model I don't have fog lights & I don't feel lik puttin it for now. I just really want the red halo rings with hid lights if that's even possble. Sorry I don't kno much about cars lol

It's definitely possible to have red rings with HIDs.

But red rings are illegal to have while the car is moving. It is a police color.

Many people on this site have set up a switch so they can turn on their halos when they are at a show or want to show off, and turn them off while driving.

It could be different in each state, its also what kind of town you live in, In the small town I moved to, I could probably put a full set of police lights on top and a siren and not get in trouble, but if I drove 45 minutes to New Orleans, id get a ticket big time.

You need to decide if you want just the halo or the hids and halos.

Just halos is a lot cheaper, you buy the halo ring, and open up your current headlight assembly and add the rings.

If you want hids as well, you can buy the GM ones (really expensive), buy an aftermarket set, or buy an HID conversion kit, to convert your current lights to hid, and also add the halo ring.

Use the search bar at the top, hint: if you go to advanced search, you can select to search only in titles, which will help find topics about what you are looking for instead of just giving u every post where that word was found.

There are vendors, DIY's, and many pictures on this subject so you can see every option and price.

Also, if you get cponfused with Camaro5 abbreviations and acronyms, do a search for that too.
DRL = Daytime running lights for instance.

You also might want to subscribe to the your threads where you ask questions like this, easier to see when ppl answer u.

And of course, post pictures of mods (modifications) when you do them, and start keeping a thread in the member car journals section to track your progress. Be careful, searching on this site will make you spend a lot of money.

I havent gotten my 5th gen, and already have a list for my car thats gonna cost me a few thousand.

great amount of good information there, thanks bud. will look into it as well as I will reread all this once I got money saved up.

on another hand. ive done about 750 miles total & put gas twice. this time I used 89 octane. hence, first time I put gas I had a little than 1/4 left, second time I put gas I had a little over 1/4 left.
first time I used 87. lets see if there is any big difference.
