At MSRP the V6 Mustang is a terrible value but at the prices you are talking about it's not bad if it's what you want.

I'm with John VS. I'm kind of considering both too, but a '10 Mustang GT or a 2LT Camaro without the RS package. I would never get the Mustang V6 (unless they upgrade the motor), and I would'nt pay 30k for either of them.
I would wait until the hype dies down for the Camaro and you should be able to get a pretty loaded one for around 27-28k or a base GT for around the same. I'm "hoping" to get one of them for around 23-24k since I can get A-plan pricing for the Ford or the student discount for the Chevy and if I can wait another 6-8 months, my car will be almost paid off and I should get at least 3-4k in trade-in.

I know a man that just bought a roush sc427 conv. tang, 1 year old 3500 miles car new was 51,500.00. bought for 31,000.00. would not want to be in debt deep for a new mustang , Camaro is going to make pricing on mustangs cheap. Camaro killed the mustangs in 1967, going to do it again in 2010

for 15K you can add alot to a mustang but it still will not turn heads like a camaro and its still a mustang. mustangs are to common and just an everyday car nothing special they don't sound that great unless you get a gt500 but they are expensive. I do believe though your comparing apples to Grapes. what does the Mustang have for options? I could buy a pickup at one dealership for 25K less than at the other but they are totally different trucks one can't do much one I could use for almost anything and has a good sound system. if the mustang is fully loaded look at the difference in Quality and what Camaro offers that mustang doesn't. the best mustang V6 isn't close to a Camaro's best. 90 HP is alot thats almost a 50% gain over the ford and Better fuel economy

see the mustang is like a honda you see them every where. if you want to blend in with every one the get the stang. but if you want a head turner and more power then get the camaro. ive test drove both cars and the v6 camaro puts the v6 stang to shame big time!!!!!!! when i test drove the camaro two days agao people where trying to get the phone or camera out to take a pic. the camaro drew alot of attention. when i test drove the stang i might of gotten one person to look at the car.

if you want the new wow definetely go with camaro and the wow factor will last a couple years if GM builds enough of these cars. if you want a deal you will have to wait for enough camaros to be on the road because they will be at MSRP or slightly under for awhile. i am waiting. i want all the new car bugs to get worked out before i order.

Good lord he would pay almost DOUBLE for the Camaro what he would for the Mustang. The Camaro is a far better car but if the finances enter into the equation at all then it's not even worth comparing, you have to buy the Mustang. Apparantly many of the others who responded are made of money
