From those pictures, it does look like the mirror protrudes past the max body width just a bit.

Also, why then does it state in the dimensions ...

Width = 77.5" (not including the mirrors).

It is funny though that many sporty cars do not have folding mirrors (regular Mustangs between '79-04 don't have them), but base model Mini vans and family sedans typically DO have them. If my wife's cars did not have them, I'd of replaced quite a few passenger mirrors over the years as she regulary hits the side of the garage door opening with it !!

I know I'd be pissed if I backed out of my garage and the passenger mirror snapped off because I was 1/4 inch too far to the right. I do that about once a year when my wife has the truck parked too far to the center of the driveway for me to back out, but the mirror just folds the other way so I just get out and correct. It's an unlikely occurrence but still.
I don't think any monte carlo has had folding mirrors. Or at the very least mine doesn't. And I don't think the 4th gens did either, but I could be wrong.

I'm beginning to think our camaro wiki needs to be updated. Some of the information doesn't look right....

Are you guys serious? If the Camaro did have folding side mirrors, there would be the typical Official Camaro5 Panic Thread... I mean, you know how we roll here

Hahaha That's true. And the mirrors don't fold. I tried it at the dealer last night.
