Comment: Sounds like your dealer is It doesn't matter when you ordered. It matters what priority you are and how many allocations your dealer has for a certain build week. You are at 1100, so you are in the system, but until you get your order pulled, it will stay at 1100. Do you even know if the ones in front of you have been pulled yet? What event code are the ones in front of you?

I stopped by the dealer today...no news. 2SS/RS black on black, should be simple. Most popular order, so you'd think they'd be building a bunch of these. Dealer also told me he heard from GM that the Oshawa plant will not be affected by the 9-week closing. Believable? Anyone worried about bankruptcy and warranties / parts availability?

RT21: How do you know your priority, and can you get this bumped up?

Automotive News will show production through the week of April 25 in this week's issue. I am out of town and won't see it until tomorrow, but the numbers through the week of April 18 equate to 351 a day. The last VIN on the tracker sheet is in the 4100's and here is a VIN at 6484. That doesn't mean that VINs aren't much higher than that it's just they haven't been completed or released yet. For the record..news reports validated that the Camaro, the new LaCrosse, Equinox, and SRX will not be affected by the plant closings. Also, concerning the May 5th order cut off, this is the first I have heard that. That actually would be beneficial to the early order customer. Remember, the goal was to build 20,000 cars by the end of summer. Regular production would begin after they were completed, so they do have capacity to fill out the 20,000...but not after May 5th....possibly.

I had to edit this..sorry...something occured to me...White isn't being produced until July, and I believe that Imperial Blue not until November. Production could be through the 1/2 way point of early orders. The Avis cars (which are starting to piss me off), could throw that off. But thats the best number rationale I can give.
