Sorry you'll have to wait a bit longer BigSlik...
Yeah no worries. It has been a frustrating month dealing with the quality hold and everything, but in the end i agree with you 100%.

It was on of the ones on quality hold in Michigan #971.

But I was reassured that when my order gets put back in, it will be bumped to the front of the line and I should have it in a month or so. The dealer is letting me get a couple of add ons, on them, so all will be well, hopefully. But what a frustrating morning. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.
where you number one at your dealer

I sure hope that wasn't the case. But i don't think so because GM came forward eager to rectify the problem. So as soon as they get my order in, it is getting put at the front of the production line.

I agree with those suggesting that something fishy is going on. It doesn't make sense. What are they going to do, crush the car like an EV1?

Anyway, what upgrades are you going for? I'd ask for the RS package if it wasn't already part of your order...

Wow that is bad news.... What have we seen so far? Mis-matched paint, funny-fitting Hockey-stripes, dead / overheated battery after 20 miles, weights on the brakes, Software problem with window indexing, and now a failed inspection. Am I the only one getting nurvous?

I don't know. I got everything I pretty much wanted on the order, but GM is supposed to be offering something. So I'll wait and see.

No point in getting nervous.

Mis-matched paint - at least one of which was a CTF and the other was a questionable picture. I firmly believe that no car will make it out of the factory with mis-matched paint.

funny-fitting hockey stripes - Link? I must've missed this one.

battery - the batter was fine. It was the wire that went bad. For whatever reason it rubbed up against the alternator and melted the shielding.

weights - just to solve a small noise problem, nothing really mechanical. Also going to be fixed later.

indexing - simple reflash.

failed inspection - this kind of stuff happens. It's the reason they do inspections. No manufacturing process ever has 100% acceptance.
