Seriously, you're complaining about mpg in a V8 and then talk smack about V6? Seems like you should "give a shizz about a V6"

I can't believe anyone would supercharge a car and then complain about MPG???? I'm still stock and can care less about what the price of gas is or MPG. If I did...... I would be getting the Volt and not the ZL1.

Hoping for 24mpg+ now that I'll be starting my 60 mi hwy runs this spring - new fun job. Been 20mpg combined since we bought her. Want as good as my '93 4-cyl Toyo truck DD that gets 25mpg, but I'll take what I get 'cause I love this SS vert! Won't get a ZL1 because of the gas mileage, it's a beautiful beast though. Oh, and the extra 20 grand - that too.

I have 20mpg lifetime average at 5500 miles. Better than my H3T, Avalance but half of my Honda Insight, good thing is twice the style as any of them.
LOL

These mpg's are all over the place. most likely the local fuel, terain and climate has a bearing on mileage. California gas sucks by the way but its a bargin almost five bucks a gallon. :(
My 2010 L99 topped out at 24 on a trip from LA to Vegas (downhill) right after break-in. It's never seen the same mileage since. Now its an average of 20 with highway and mountain driving. |

I'm getting 20 on the hwy now that it's warmed up. I'm convinced the problem is ethanol content now around here vs back in late 09-early 2010.

Check this thread out. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=212893. I get 14 mpg and I have a V6. Strictly city driving but I do believe some have a tendency to exaggerate. Based on his figures he's getting 627 miles per tankful.

On average I get a guaranteed 27~28 total MPGs on every fill up, but that is because I still do some spirited driving at times. I really don't care what you think but I would appreciate it if you stop telling others that I exaggerate, especially when I am basically doing these MPG tests to help others out in here. I know what I am getting for MPGs is the honest truth, but it takes lots of will power to keep your foot out of the gas. I am just trying to show others that YES you can get over 30 MPGs in these things. I don't live in the city where everything is stop and go traffic, instead I rarely have to actually come to a complete stop on my long drives every week, maybe that is why I get such good results with my mileage. When I bought my car the sticker in the window said 18 CITY and 29HWY, I am getting above that! If I drove your car on the same route I take to my other clinic I am willing to bet you a whole car payment that I can squeak close to the same fuel savings that I have posted about my car, Heck I bet I could get at least 28 MPGs in an SS doing that same route.

18 seems to be the norm in mixed but mostly highway driving back and from work, I do floor it a couple times each trip and notice if I dont it climbs and probably would be 19+
