Any timeslips with the your car? Running at the track with street tires is not always as easy as it looks... especially on a little to no prep test and tune day....

An actual CAI, not just a K&N filter, and a tune is real good start. Add an underdive pulley too. I was able to go 12.60's with jut those mods on a stock tire. I didn't have much of a problem with most 5.0's.

every time ive seen an ss vs 5.0, the ss lost unfortunately, i havent seen an ss win yet unless it was not stock. i just want to be able to beat the 5.0 like ive beaten the 4.6...easily, you know?

Do you HAVE to be faster than other cars? it's just expensive...
be secure and comfortable with what you have. |

Intake, headers, tune, and drag radials and you'll be running very low 12s if you know how to drive. Next you can add gears to shave off a couple more tenths. But aftermarket gears can open up a can of worms if you're not careful. So choose your gears and installer carefully if you want care free and quiet gears. I know quite a few guys that have had issues with aftermarket gears. |

Best thing is to actually get some seat time in your car at the track before you worry about anything else... I've seen plenty of guys show up at the track with their cars and think they are going to rip off some magazine times their first time out.... only to end up very disappointed...

Just remember, if you can't beat 'em you can always join 'em. We love all car fans over at the blue oval, even those wearing silly bow ties.
