Only mods the wife has planned is painting carbon flash stripes on it and she wants to put some black rims on the car. Funny thing is, I didn't even have to suggest it.

I hope so too. The permagrin returned yesterday when I say the trunk come around the corner and my car on it. It really was big when the salesman said lets go for a ride as soon as it was backed off. Even though the ride was over to the garage it still was fun. Time will tell but I hope the saga is over and I won't need a new top for 15 years instead of 5 weeks.

I will say that with the new "recall" the service manager printed off all the docs and said he is going to go through the whole top for me to make sure it is right. If nothing needs to be done they are not going to. When I went back the car was up on the lift getting the splash guards installed so I couldn't get a good look or pictures of it. I will say that this has been a long but easy process from both sides and I give kudos to GM and Friendly Chevrolet for that. This new car will cost me $500 for Title and License and $1100 in my upgraded options. I am ok paying that out of pocket though.

I would but the hold up is on the bank end moving the loan over. I already signed my GM reclamation and Dealership purchase agreement. The car is mine. Now just have to wait for the bank. Just a formality. They were going to go through all the TSB's to make sure it is perfect when I get it along with putting the splash guards on. Plus, it is supposed to rain today and tomorrow then get down in the 30's again next week.

Wife wanted to see the car in person so we were running errands right by the dealership so we stopped in. Car is all ready. Splash Guards are on and don't look to bad.

I sure hope so. It has been a long journey that is almost over. I hope. I must say I have learned a lot through this whole process and want to thank GM for stepping up and making it right. Everyone deserves a second chance in anything we do. That includes big business. We are a large passionate team and I thank everyone of you for stepping up and sharing information with GM. I wouldn't be getting a new one without each and every one of you.
