The factory warranty also includes free towing to the closest dealer 24/7. All you gotta do is call roadside assistance (1-800-243-8872). |

As bad as I hated to, I've got the spare kit. I don't want to be stuck for hours out on the side of the HWY. I don't think On Star would get me service any faster than Good Sam to change my RV flat, but with the RV I had the comfort of a cold fridge..

Since i have the roller skates what size would i need? Also i have a extra 18" rim off my Nissan titan i think would work as a spare if i put a low profile tire on it since there the same bolt pattern.
thanks

although I have a 2LT.....I paid the extra back in '09' when I ordered my car so that I had a REAL spare. I drive 20 miles to work out into the country.....and IF I were to have a flat and need to have it towed to a dealer.....they don't open up till at least 9 am.....and I am on the road at 5 am going to work......having the spare, whether you have a LS, LT, or SS....its worth it for teh peace of mind.

You sure about that bolt pattern? I have a Titan and a Silverado.... rims are interchangeable, because they're both six lug, same pattern/ bolt distances... just askin.'

...and I wouldn't drive to the end of my own driveway without a spare. AAA, OnStar, those are great, and recommended... and you can use them... but, for those times when you don't have cell service, you don't have the time to wait, or you gotta be rolling right frickin' now, having the option of putting my own spare on is worth the extra few pounds I am admittedly lugging around.
As with many things, it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it... |
