He posted his whole order from workbench. The dealers could only have an SS on the floor if it was a customer order and they backed out or were told it was cancelled and then it shows up on the floor.

Both of the Chevy dealers within 30 minutes of my town are selling at MSRP.

I know what he posted but how do you know that he wasn't the one that backed out, maybe he couldn't get credit, he changed his mind or what ever.

You guys just see one side of the deal and want to persecut a dealer right away.

Anyway it's not my arguement I just think people get on here and say what ever they want without thinking.

I didn't back out. They are the ones that were dishonest and didn't honor our deal.

I have never had a issue with the dealer.
Like I said I don't know the whole truth and there are always more than one story.
But for peeps to get on here and say the things they have isn't right. I think you should have handled things a little different but to each his own.

I don't know you or very many guys on this form but I don't like to see my dealer getting bashed and threatened either.

Anyway thats all I have to say about that.

If he backed out why would he post here to belly ache about not having the car???? I get what you are trying to say because some threads do get real nasty. But if you truly read the full thread you would see this poor guy is getting screwed by this dealership and other than legal actions and media there is not a dam thing he can do.

67rs/ss does the VIN on this car and all the features match up with what you ordered? What info did the BBB offer you?

though, while i believe your story in whole; as there are many dealerships who would do something like this...

it is a bit suspect that you haven't just sued them if everything you said is true.

there's alot of law that's being broken in your story and the way your repersenting it. and alot of fall out, all makes for a very odd situation that you haven't just gone ahead and sued them.

You can not sue in this situation. What would he sue? People are far to sue happy these days.

As far as Hillbilly, if you honestly think "your" dealer wouldnt screw you if they had a chance you have been brainwashed. They are some of the most corrupt people in business these days and they can easily take advantage of anybody especially if you dont know about cars.

If 67rs/ss has a figure listed (let's say MSRP) on his paperwork for what he agreed to pay OR He can prove that the dealership let someone drive his car and they lied to him about the order being cancelled I'd say he has a breach of contract at the least.

If the dealer was trying to stick him with a $5,000 mark up I'd trade $500 in an attorney and filing fees to cost the dealership $500,000 in future sales, parts , and service from the publicity.

I bet he signed an "intent to buy" agreement. Basically anything he signs says the dealer can modify the contract and cancel it.

Is that what happend 67/rs that they tried to mark up the car after it got here on you rather than honor the deal you made up front?

There is a long thread about it but basically the dealer told him the car wasn't coming in, then he went in there and a guy said the manager's son was driving it and he took it to prom, and now its on the showroom floor.
