I wish i still had my first and my second, 69 RS and 70 model. I am still driving my third one as a DD, 93 Z28 purchsed new in June of 93. She is 19 years old and just rolled over to 100,000 miles. I kind of figure will be driving the 5th Gen just as long.

I bought my 1979 Magnetic red Z28 in 1981, and kept in until 1985 when a dope made a right turn from the left lane through the car.

Everytime I see one for sale, I think about buying it

My first car was a 1994 Camaro Z28 and yes I still have it. I bought it in 1998 with 51k miles on it when I was 16 and drove it daily for 10 years. I have so many fond memories that I can't bring myself to part with it.

It has 126k miles on it now but hasn't been driven in 4+ years. I drove it an entire year before I bought my 05 Trailblazer with no 2nd gear in the 4L60E transmission, it would just skip over 2nd and shift from 1st to 3rd. I've been wanting to get the transmission rebuilt for a long time but I keep putting it off for some reason....

As much as I love my 2012, there are still days when I miss driving my old 94, probably because of how good it sounded with the LT headers, no cats, and Borla catback (can't wait to install a NoWeeds system on my 2012!). I know the '12 is faster but the '94 just seemed "quicker" if that makes any sense, I think it has a lot to do with the extra weight on the new ones...I just don't feel as confident slinging it around a corner.....

I have for well over a year been looking to replace my 1986 IROC Z28. I was rear ended when I was in highschool and the car was totaled. The car is in short supply though, only 375~ were made.

She cornered and stopped about the best of any F-car I'd ever had, but its engine performance was a total let down. When I bought it, I came out of an '86 Vette L98 and my seat of the pants "instruments" said that Vette ran circles around that camaro. I did Borla cat-back with muffler bypass and intake, but the car always ran like it had a potato stuck in the tail pipe. A real downer the entire time I owned her. Sold it to my son after 9 years and he happily drove it into the ground.

The car I still pine for is this 1972 Trans Am 455HO. It was my daily driver for 10 years and when the 455 took a dump I needed a car and couldn't wait for an engine rebuild or swap, so I let it go. Stupid.

I keep looking at white 5th Gen SS Camaro's and I see some of that old TA in them, especially when I see the Camaro / TA concepts...

For the money I'd spend on a new SS, i could probably locate a decent 72 455HO and be done.
Boy..has cars changed since those years. Imagine going back in time with a 2012 Camaro in those days lol.

My 5th gen is my first Camaro, and I doubt that I will ever sell it. I get too emotionally attatched to my vehicles. I have a 97 Wrangler that I still drive in the winter. I refuse to sell it

As for Camaro's that I've loved in the past, and inspired me to get this car?

I test drove a 4th gen RS, black with T-Tops when I was 16, I was hooked. Couldn't afford the insurance so it was a no go.
A high school friend had a 77, Blue with white stripes, and it was the coolest car, another friend in college had a similar car, not sure on the year, but man was I jealous.

I also LOVE the 3rd gen body style, and FFS when is someone going to make an IROC inspired wheel that properly fits the 5th gen???

I still own my 1979 Z-28 that I purchased back in 1989 - it was my first car and we've been through a lot together Been thinking about selling it to free up room in the garage and to have one less thing to maintain and worry about. I'm sure I'll regret it, but I'm sure I'll get over it.
