I'm 6'7" and just sat in a 1SS with a sunroof and I will say, I didn't have alot of head room...my hair was touching the headliner (but my hair was a bit long) but all in all, I fit fine...I will also admit that the non sunroof car that I sat in about a month ago had an inch or two more head room...

Period...

Some people at Gm wanted it lower even but the crew down under held to a standard.

I have about 1 inch headroom in my vette and I just deal with it. Comes with the turf.

This car has like 5-6 inches more headroom than that.
one of the main designers begged really hard to not raise it an inch...

sure it would look really great and a better stance but gm had to make the decision based on comfort and safety standards

but i wonder how it would look if they didn't raise that inch...it would probably look a little longer and the area by the headlights and taillights would be slightly shorter and wider

If you go with the challenger, make sure you get 2.One to drive and one to replace it in 3 yrs when the first one dies.

I am 6' and drive a 01 Z 06 Vette so I am used to low headroom but dang the Camaro sure felt tight. I played around with the seat in a 2LT at the dealer here and I have clearance but the thing just feels tight. I was really surprised. My Vette has better headroom and also side and rear view as well. I am sure I can get used to the Camaro but I felt like I was in an old chopped top roadster. Also I have seen some talk about the mirror and it does seem to take up a lot of space since it seems you are looking out at near the top of the windshield on the thing.

I was not bumping my head or anything and it could be I am just not used to being in something with such small windows. I am going to want to spend some time driving one before I pull the trigger on an order I think.

I'm 6-5 and drove one a couple miles with the sunroof. My ideal position had my hair rubbing the top(way back with the lower cushion all the way down and a little up in the front), but a degree back in the seat and I was good to go. Better than the last Camaro, had to sorta sit bow legged. So when I get mine I should fit fine in my ideal position with 1/2 to 1 inch clearance, just have to make sure I keep my hair trimmed down.

Is sad but numbers speak for themselves.
Well then it might actually be okay for me then. I have PLENTY of room in the Mustang, and I'm 6'3". Must be differently proportioned than some of you guys.

If your hair is touching the roof as you drive, it is time to shave your head and get yourself a Camaro

I had two people sit in the driver's seat. On was 6'7" and very muscular. The other was pushing 300 pounds about 5'11". They were both shocked at how comfortable they were all the way around. You have to adjust the seat and steering wheel.

You're absolutely right! And they've / I've got to find some way of getting that mirror up a little bit higher. It is set too low, and I really don't know why that is?

Btw, this car is no longer in Chester. Not sure what happened to it, but it definitely isn't at the dealership anymore.
