1- he can prioritize your order. but that wouldn't be fair to anyone in front of you.

2- get it in writing that he is going to honor MSRP.

If you have to think this hard about whether or not to do business with him, you probably shouldn't.

The dealer has the right to prioritize orders any way he sees fit. If he will make more money on a car that he can place in front of yours, as long as he tells you, there's nothing wrong with that. At least you know the "game" before you play. It may not be ethical in many people's minds but if you are foolish to play that game, you have no one to blame other than yourself.

Get your money back and go somewhere else.

You have your financing pre approved already right?

Never walk in the door without pre approved financing. You get a buy order you give that to the bank. After that they are on the hook and your in the drivers seat.

Otherwise it's just a looonng dog and pony show.

Go the MSRP list and buy one. 190+ Excellent Dealers to choose from.

find a dealer that sells at a price you are happy with (MSRP would be the highest you should pay) and then stick with them......call around, there are hundreds of reasonable dealers out there......if you find one that meets your interests get some references and call some of their clients if something seems shady or questionable to you

What if you car is delivered and put on display before you're even notified? He could try to sell it out from under you.
