Probably because of safety standards. I remember Fbodfather saying they would have had to raise the roof line if they were to put lighted vanity mirrors in, but they decided against that because it would take away from the aggresive look of the car. How high would they have to raise the roof line to accomodate this kind of sunroof?

i agree, i think that it looks sick with the sunroof coming out the back, i wouldnt pay extra for my sunroof to go inside my roof instead of outside. from what i can see inside the car they look the same

Not so patiently waiting on 2LT RS silver with black rally stripes and sunroof of course

Looks awesome, but I dont feel quite right about having my roof chopped up. I didnt choose a sunroof for the same reasons. I can live without one!

Im 5'4, I shouldn't have any problems with this roof. I like this one better than the factory one.

Please explain how adding a sunroof would affect your engine, transmission, cat converters, ac compressor, steering rack ect.

I was a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for Webasto, for nearly five years before I quit.
I would watch and see how many problems occur before jumping on this option. It is not reversible.
Any new product will have issues, and they need time to implement corrections in the process, and design.
Do not assume that just because it is publicly offered, that design is finalized, because it is not. They go though many revisions of design.
They do this to correct problems in the field, and there are many made after start of production "SOP".
This could definitely change your insurance Safety/Crash rating for the car as well. Cutting into the passenger cabin is
Not good. Ask your insurance guy if you do not believe me.

Thanks, Roger

I haven't seen any sun roof threads. This is one of the options that didn't come on my car and I REALLY wanted. So... what aftermarket sunroofs are proven to be quality?

Having a sunroof in my Cruiser that has the pop up vent and retract internal features, which is broken right now because the mechanism to be able to do both functions are complex. I prefer a simple pop up,slide back design like the Stock Camaro sunroof
