At least the thread is getting lots of bumps... LOL

The OP was totally honest and upfront. He could have just put the old tune back on and no one would have know the difference. Even the dealership would never question it.

Yup this is a good deal. I would love to have that auto trans too.
I agree completely. Just because you read it on the Internet doesn't make it true.

Sorry to butt in and thread jack. Why do you have the car listed on eBay and say that there are no modifications?

I will retract my first statement about the tune voiding the warranty. I have no first hand knowledge of whether it is true or not. I admit that I have read it on this forum countless times but it may be one of those dealer by dealer things????

In my area I do know that with SS's it varies from dealership to dealership. I know some guys who have heavy modded SS's that get drivetrain warranty work done at certain dealerships that don't ask too many questions.

What a bunch of crap. A whole bunch of whining little jerks. This guy has an awesome car to sell and you ruin his thread!!! If your dealership voids a warranty over a tune...then you just bent over and let them take it!! You need to find a WAY better dealer to get a car from!! lol The dealership has to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the tune did the damage.....1% chance of that EVER happening. If it has....you are a weak ass punk to give up that fight. I have a friend who is a warranty administrator and even he says...tune it...because they can't prove it 99% of the time. And all of you scared dudes need to be driving Priuses instead of Camaro's....because you surely can't handle a MUSCLE CAR!!! Let the "MAN" sell his car!!!

GM has just released a technical service bulletin regarding "aftermarket calibrations". It says infact your warranty will be VOID on the powertrain and even more so. IF the dealer is hiding this they will lose their franchise license. Its a currect scary fact. The diesel guys (like me) are getting hit WAY worse than the camaro guys (me also).

I imagine most things would be covered under warranty to the point where someone even SUSPECTS damage was even remotely related to the tune.

Having said that, why take any risk for a very small, if any discount?

I mean really, the gas guzzler tax is $2,500 alone, why should the second owner pick up this cost?

Sorry to the OP for the jack, beautifull car...GLWTS.

My brother has a ZL1.
I have driven it many times and can't imagine why you would want a tune.
They are absolute flying coffins right out of the factory.
They are unbelieveable.
