Yeah...I don't envy the ZL1 either...I was actually pretty dissapointed in what GM decided the final product was going to be with regard to the engine. I suspect if a few ZL1 owners drove some of the modded SS's on this site...they'd understand why we have no reason to envy. Don't get me wrong...it's a nice car but if I had the task of building a 55K Camaro with all of GM's resources, its not what I would have built...my opinion only, flame if you want to..just saying it was very predictable that Ford was going to trump the specs of the ZL1 before it was even delivered to the first buyer. If you are going to go big, then go big!
I do agree though that I envy some other's mods....still long for the stroked/forged internals and there are some wheels I wouldn't mind trying on

I had a 2011 Camaro SS (hence the user name) but when I saw the ZL1 I knew I had to have it. I loved my SS and it was a great car. When I went to the dealer to just look, I asked him to start the ZL1 up. Man..that sound is awesome. I was fortunate that I had already paid off my SS and had a nice downpayment for the ZL1. I know I will have this car forever and that there will not be many people driving around with a ZL1. Both SS and the ZL1 though are great cars and whatever you have you just need to enjoy it.

I wouldn't either, not with all those balls you're packing
![]() In all honesty though, I don't envy a ZL1 either. If I'm going to have a blower on a car, I'm going to do it my way, with completely forged internals. (For those of you that don't know, only the rods and pistons are forged on a ZL1, the crank isn't). +Meth The only thing that's sort of appealing is the mag suspension. Then again, I'd rather have a Pedders Justice package (coming soon)
