It's an old thread, but that's why I use search! So the thread police won't bust me. I know all about the jacfab. In fact, I had one on my 2011. IMHO, it is too bulky under the ZL1. And the Eliminator Bracket is way too darned expensive. And the shipping cost is high as well.

However, I want this bracket from the Vette. I can run down to the parts counter and pick it up. Now, if I just knew how to find it...

Bulky? It looks like that corvette bracket but uses the existing screws, not wing nuts. Here's a lower, straight on view, nothing hanging down, mounts flush.

How much is the fine if you put your license plate in your front window, right hand side?

And does anyone have more information of the difference between the jacfab HD bracket and the lite version?

Thanks for the pictures of the Jacfab. I may wind up with it if the Vette bracket doesn't work out.

Anyone?

Here's a custom one I had made for mine. Installed two bolts under the lower splitter, where the mount is held on by two wing nuts. The wing nuts are so the plate and mount can be easily removed for shows or racing or what have you. The plate attaches using 3 of its mounting holes. This prevents it from bending in the wind. The plate has been attached in excess of 100 mph so it's quite sturdy. And the mount weighs nearly the same as the license plate itself.

Simple and effective. I like it. If you can figure out how to avoid drilling, you'd have it all.

You're just drilling through some thin plastic so it's not that big of a deal IMO. Plus it's under the car so even if you mess up, no one will see any unsightly fudge ups.

How much is the fine for no plate in everybody's area? I have been stopped in other cars for it but never ticketed.
