Seriously, Mr. Goodwrench is screwin with you. If your dealer took a deposit get it back and buy another.

We called the GM customer service number, and they put dh on hold and called the dealership to see what they say. Then came back on the line and said the dealership says they are working on it.

Dh said he knows that and needs someone on GM's end to get involved to help resolve the issue. He was told that wasn't the procedure, to let the dealer handle it, and no one on GM's end has the authority to help us.

No wonder this company is going bankrupt. Idiots!

Nice sentiment, but there are no other camaros available to buy right now unless you want to pay thousands over MSRP. Thanks for the advice.

Let's say that this dealer you ordered from owed GM some money. Wouldn't the sale of the car to you benefit the dealer and in turn, pay back GM?

If your dealer was going under, why would they give away a perfectly good car that is going to be sold in a few days anyway???

I bet you a million dollars it was a dealer trade and GM knows nothing of this. That other dealer wanted your car and your dealer probably wanted a Z06 Atomic Orange w/ such and such package....and they decided to trade....because they CAN do that and SCREW the customer.

Again...This is BULLSH!T. I see NO reason for GM to do this.

um for one GMAC has the floor plan on the cars. If the dealer were to owe money then GMAC would come and repo the cars.....So I agree with Tag. Sounds like to me that the dealer either traded or sold your car for more money. Get your money back asap.....We can find you another car.....

First we learn that dealers can sell for above MSRP and we accept this. Then we learn that dealers can change their mind and jack you when the car shows up and we are trying to accept this. Now we get someones car getting brokered to a third party who won't sell to the original R6P buyer for the original contract? Seriously - somebody top this one, it's only a matter of time.

This type of thing happens more often than you think.

$50 says your dealer is straight up lying to you on that one.

Please read this before you automatically assume that the dealer is the one that transferred this order to another dealership...

Once your car is built, it may not get shipped to your dealer ever. GM has not told us what happens in those instances. I know they offer us "warehouse" units that have been taken from dealer's lots that are now closed down.
We already have independent confirmation that the dealer is in financial trouble so it's just as likely that GM/GMAC is refusing to send them more cars as it is that the dealer sold off the car to another dealer.

A guy named Dr Jekel wrote me and said he contacted the CEO of GM and got some help. I'm in the process of sending an overnight mail today.
