I've never been in one but with me being 6'3 it looks like it would be an event for me to get in and out of the lambo. Then it seems like it's 1 inch off of the ground which would make parking lots a big no no. It definitely is an attention getter though.

That was so enjoyable to watch...I got in to work late this morning.
I want Randy's job, or even those two journalists.

So what performance metrics are they using in their judging?

This comparison is not about performance, but about preference of on track personality. . . hence the BRZ even being included.

Well we all know, as well as this magazine points out, the shelby is faster, however, that does not make it the better car, the ZL1 still has gobs of horsepower, and a much more refined suspension, and better brakes apparently. But the Shelby will still smoke a ZL1 each time on the street.
I don't get them calling a leather and suede interior "cheap" however, I mean come on, it's universally known that mustang has had the cheaper interiors. |

Performance #s speak for themselves. Everything else, such as ride comfort, interior quality and amenities, etc. depends on each person's preference. I wish the ZL1 has the option for Recaro seats. I think that would be icing on the cake.

I was thinking of getting a boss 302 but declined because the only thing it came with was recaro seats, I like leather seats, reason being if you spill something, you can wipe it away, yes the suede is not much better in those regards, but I can work with suede.
I am just a poor boy, and there are no road courses around this area, so having this as just a dedicated track car isn't much of an option. It does sit at home a lot, because my wife and I work at the same hospital and can just carpool in her cobalt.

In short it's not a suede and leather interior. It's a plastic interior with some plastic fibre cloth and seats with leather and said plastic fibre cloth. |

No matter what place the Aventador got, I would take that over any of those.

I get it, almost all your posts are anti ZL1, you don't like them, I can see that. But adding up all the extra cost of interior luxuries, combined with the suspension costs of upgrading the shelby to still have it be inferior to the Z, and I am pretty sure I can take the savings and make my Z faster than a shelby at the same price. |

I have to say though, the ZL1's mylink doesn't compare to the Nav/Sycn system on the Shelby..sorry but I looked at them both and Ford's is better. But then again, that is an opinion just like leather and suede...just prefence. I didn't think you could even get a full screen Nav system on a 2012 ZL1..standard or option.

No argument so you want to call names and try to make fun? I was going to address you calling sciatica a bone disorder, then a nerve disorder, now a medical disorder, but you are editing so much and back tracking I can't keep up. So I will summize with this.
Facts are facts, and the fact is, what I said was true, and additionally, this is the second time that motor trend has ranked the ZL1 above the Shelby. |
