Yeah, similar idea here.

I am getting the same blue... and I wanted the black stripes.

My plan is to get the ground effects kit (leave it unpainted, since it is ALMOST black, or get it powdercoated black), add the black stripes, and get the wheels powedercoated black too.

I liked the idea of black on dark.... its almost stealthy. From the other end of the parking lot, people dont see it screaming "HEY, I have stripes!!!!" , instead its just a dark Camaro....... THEN, when they come look at it (as they will) it will pop out at the last second and then you realize it has stripes.

SO..... as for the question I wanted to ask....

What do you think about the stripes? I know the camera cant begin to do it justice.... how do they really look in person. Are they as invisible as they look in pictures, or are they actually more noticeable?

That is such an awesome color! I’m turning towards IBM from black, but I want silver stripes for more “POP”. Congratulations on a beautiful car, well done.

The car is a IBM M6 RS with black stripes. I'll have more pics tomorrow during the day. I drove the car on the PDI to get gas and was approached twice. Everyone loves the new Camaro. As everyone else has said the view will take a little getting use to. The quality is perfect; A+ to GM.

I ordered 10/13 but had to reorder on 10/25.

Sweet!!! You have my exact car!! I'm a bit jealous... Those are the black LPO stripes, right? How do you like them on the car? Do they show up very well and stand out from the IBM? Thanks for the pics!

Definitely look a lot better in person. They are most noticeable during the day. In most pictures they look gray but in person they are black. The matte finish beautiful and does have a metallic look. When its overcast or night they blend very well but you can tell they are there.

HAHA I had to take Advil Pm to sleep. I've had people follow me, stop me at the gas station, stop me at my mom's house, at the grocery store, even at stop lights. My mom LOVES the car by the way. We have the exact same taste in cars.

Yep NO complaints. I'll definitely try for more pics once the weather is better. Its about to rain again. They show up very well. And these are the LPO dealer instaled stripes. The dealer did a great job.

Funny you should ask. I just had to drive the goat to try to sell it. NIGHT AND DAY difference. The goat is faster only because of mods BUT the Camaro feels like it has more torque.

The goats clutch is a lot stiffer and the ride isnt as refined as the Camaro. The Camaro feels like a much bigger car and the driver and front passenger have much more room than the goat. By more room I mean kinda like a couch vs a love seat. Camaro has a tad more leg room and wiggle room. Back seat access the goat has much more room. If you've seen the trunk in a GTO wow. Its like have a closet(GTO) vs a storage unit (Camaro).

I have the 2SS so the features and options are a light years ahead of the goats; XM, connecting the IPod, the stereo sound. garage door opener (already set it up too), the stereo wheel controls, ABL is sweet!!!!.

The ride is a lot smoother and quieter than the goat. I do like the ride height of the GTO over the Camaro; the GTO feels lower to the ground.

For the price GTO was 32k vs the 2ss 33k hands down the Camaro is a better built car. That says a lot because the goats interior was best in class hands down when it was released. I still like the look of the GTO's seats more than the Camaros. I like the comfort of the Camaro's seats more than the GTO's. Looks? No question Camaro!!!!

I can only think of a couple of things that actually bother me on the Camaro.
1. The seat belts dont move up and down like the GTO. I dont like the seat snaps.
2. My Valentine 1 radar detector mount wont work with this windshield angle. :(
3. The shift knob is rather large for my taste. And I'm a big guy.

All three are very minor. I'll get use to the seat belts I'll use the visor mount for the Valentine and I'll get the hurst shifter with the cue ball knob.
