Sounds like they got it in for you personally. You poor guy. It's all your family's fault and none of your own. You are successful, and young, and everyone hates you because of your youth and success oh, and your family is Important so that means you are too. They are so jealous of your new Camaro and your new job they want to ruin all your fun. Oh, the injustice of it all.

Not a facepalm big enough to cover the fail in your post. Stop acting like a jackwagon and grow up.

If your laying rubber on someone else's property, you might get towed. It's really that simple.

We had a group of ricers around here that used to do that in a parking lot at night. No one really cared until one of them ended up losing control and crashed into one of the businesses.

I was you, once. @ 45 years old, I can safely say that the blame was completely mine, though I tried to project it on everyone else at the time. Look at the facts:

1. You were driving your car in an illegal manner in a private parking lot
2. You have been hassled by the police prior to that, likely due to your own actions
3. You clearly have an attitude toward them, and clearly don't accept responsibility for the issue

This is called, "The School of Hard Knocks". You won't graduate any time soon. Good luck to you.

It's the state this country has gotten. It's always someone else's fault. Nobody ever seems to admit when they screw up.
That being said none of us witnessed the event, we only know his side of the story. It is impossible for anyone here to decide if what he says happened and what actually happened is correct.
My advice is if you feel wronged, get a lawyer and take it to court. If you are just pissed because you got caught screwing around and are venting on here, just suck it up, pay your fine, and go on with your life. Chalk it up to a lesson learned and don't do it again.

Practicing driving skills? Neighbors reporting? You taking pictures of the evidence? Reporting all of this on an internet forum? Think about it.

Did they have your consent to search the car?

I am an ex LEO. If they observed you doing what you say you were doing then they have cause to cite you. Depending on the law, they may have also had cause to tow. If the law allows the vehicle to be impounded, then they have a duty to inventory the contents of the car to prevent claims of theft. If they didn't arrest you, then you had the right to watch the inventory and towing action. If this harrassment continues, then get an in-car camera that will record from the view from the back window and possibly the interior.
Try to get one that will allow you to wear a mic. Record the stops/conversations/etc. When stopped, inform the officer that all actions and conversation is being recorded. Talk to a lawyer who is practicing in your state to ensure you don't violate any law doing this. If they are truly harrassing you, then the word will get around that you have this system and it will stop.

I love these threads.

"everything that has happened to me is everyone else's issue and not do to anything I have ever done."

I've had loud, fast muscle cars since I could drive. My car has gained a lot of traction and visibility in my local area due to all the shows I go to and people know what I have.

I have never been bothered by any officer for any reason. They drive by me with barely a glance in my direction. Why? Cuz I follow the rules of the road and don't drive like a jackass.

Obviously you are known in your area for a lot of negative things you have done. That is nobodies fault but your own.

I believe it might just the "wording" of the OP - perhaps(?) he means he's able to afford some things that others haven't / aren't because his money isn't going to other "necessities" such as taking care of a family, raising kids, putting food on the table and clothes on his family's back. Ergo, he may have money to spend on other more visible and "tangible" things. Just a guess on my part, however (not that it really matters in any way).

Hey, can you scan the letter from the Deputy Police Chief with the "threat" and "alleged" complaint. I, for one, would really be interested in seeing that one.

You're gonna want a lawyer either way...

Assuming the story is true, I don't know of any police department that considers cursing as professional behavior, and that's just a single point.

Now, whether the parking lot was public or private is irrelevant. Either way it's not the place to practice burning rubber.
