A little bit angry about my order status

LOL no doubt. I've gotten 3 emails today alone about stuff I need to take care of tomorrow. A total of 12 since Friday evening. During the week its insane.

My dealer basically tells me my code and says that you really cannot count on those codes. Many times they are not updated. He said there are only 3 things he can count on, and he has ben a chevrolet ordering manager for 25 years, here is what he said:

- Once he gets the acceptance code than it is in line to be built
- Once he sees the Vin in the system, it takes about 2-3 weeks to his dealership (NY State)
- Once he gets Invoiced, it should be in within a week

- He did say that the car being held up in a QC issue or recall could throw you off, and if it does.....there is no telling when!

He said if he started looking at those codes, he would be more confused and go crazy. Yet he still gives them to me WITHOUT me asking and set my expectations in the right spot. Hats Off to Dominick of Taconic Chevrolet....Thanks Man!

I wish that system held true for me. My dealer received my invoice on May 16th. So far its been 15 days (post invoice) and my car is still stuck in QC.

Not at all! First time I've ever ordered a car before & am so excited about this that I really just want to keep track through it's process. I don't care if mine arrives in July, August or possibly later. I mean yes I am really hoping to have it before the summer is out so that I can enjoy some summer crusing. But who knows whether it will. I really don't care whether or not I'm the first one in my town to have one & I already know that I won't be since there is an SS already that I've seen a few times and all of which is just fine by me.

I'm just not sure if I should've had my order number when the said they placed the order a week ago or if that comes at the Accepted by GM status which was my first guess, or at 3000. Also a lot of people who have ordered in May have jump to 3000 already. I just really want to keep track of where it is in the status codes & processes.

It was a slow roll out of the Camaro, and with saturday production on the way and tons of orders rolling in, I really do think they'll start pushing them out but again it's a matter of patience. When you order multiple months before the start production, I think you have to expect the very slow roll out to begin with. Then you also have to look at how many others ordered even before you, then the push they had at first with the dealer V6 cars for the May 6 unveiling of the car & avis cars that shoved orders like yours back further. Everday more & more early orders are getting produced. The dealer I ordered from told me they just got the two invoices for their for 1 order they had & their showroom car. Then you also got the tons of guy who just ordered and have already moved to 3000. Though as evidenced by others like you, that could mean that a long wait begins those guys at the 3000 status or maybe not.

I left that out, I will update my post. He did say that was the only thing that could throw you off, and if it does.....there is no telling when!
