Helluva nice guy. I tend to be like that. I have no problem letting people drive my car. (usually with me in it unless I know the person well enough)

When I bought mine it locked into 1 to 4 gear mode. Sucks when you get a new car, last thing you expect. Clean that engine bay good! Gonna stink.

Get this, they said i am going to need a new transmission BUT!!! they will NOT give me a new transmission! they said it is going to be a REFURBISHED transmission, why the hell cant they give me a new transmission if my car only has 2,500 miles?!

Unless the refurbushed........

1) Comes with a full warranty that starts when they install it.
2) Is made with upgraded parts.

They said it will still have a warranty on it but refurbished to me is just a fancy term for used. I do not want used parts in my new car, wtf is the point of the warranty then I got with the car. I just got off the phone with GM and they called the dealership, GM will be calling me back Monday.
Also, they had a loaner car ready for me, then when they saw I was 18; I was not allowed to have it!!! now i dont have a car.

Btw, my dealer also had ZL1 a guy just bought. He had 34 miles on it before it broke down leaving the dealership....

yes, but if it's been gutted and rebuild with new parts there really isn't any difference. engines are the same way. a rebuilt engine with 100k miles that has been machined and had the pistons, rings, crank, cam and other internal parts replaced is just as good as a new one.

but I doubt there's anything you can do anyways. if you read the warranty, I'm sure it grants GM the right to use refurbished parts if they like.

I can't believe they wouldn't loan you a car. That must be one bad dealer. I hope you get it fixed soon.

they may not have been able to. don't you have to be 21 in some states to rent a car? if that's the case, makes sense that a loaner would be treated like a rental.

I think it has something to do with insurance.

I'd have your dad go down there and let them have it man. If they can sell you a ****ING car then they can loan you one when that car breaks.

I'm guessing that if your dads name is on it then that's why. Legal liability issue maybe?

Oh, and refurbished also means rebuilt. It might just be BETTER than new. Try and find out. They could have put better parts in it somehow. I seriously doubt it but it's possible. At least they were up front with you.

This might be all on the up and up. But I'll stay tuned to find out.

I'd let you take mine to homecoming if I lived there.
