lol, i drive a 1989 Ford Brconco that has over 240,000 miles on it and still wont quit. Still has all the original parts from the factory except for the transfer case which has been replaced. And did you ever ask the retards that own their German or Japanese "toys" how much they pay for repairs and maintenance. Lol, American cars is the only way to go! :flag2:

I think someone is Jealous that someone els is getting a camaro

I can only imagine what my friends are gonna think....I haven't gotten the nerve to tell some of them yet that I am going American. My husband and I have been in the car industry for many years now and have been only imports, however the Camaro has changed my opinion. If you asked me a year ago to walk into an American dealership I would have said no way......since then I have become very impressed by the American cars and have actually ordered one!

The reliability of a vehicle depends very much upon how well a vehicle is taken care of. I have a 87 Camaro with over 310,000 miles and have never been inside the engine. Just External repairs on that little 2.8L V6. My 95 C1500 Truck has 269,000 miles on it, and never been inside te engine either. Just a water pump, alt, and wiper motor so far....

Stay American!

You haven't got the nerve to tell them you are buying American... You act like you are having to break to you parents that you got pregnant by your HS boyfriend. What happened to the pride in this country? I'm only 27 but damn...I bleed red white and blue and will go toe to toe with anyone who has words other wise. I love supporting my country and the products made here. Be proud that you are buying an American made car... :flag2:

The worst I have to put up with is one of my buddies being a Ford fanatic. Plus, he's NEVER wrong (i just let him keep thinking that).

It don't look pretty now like when I bought it...but it's my baby!

And the word is going around the people I know that I'm waiting for my Camaro...and people are giving me crap again. They tell me American cars are not reliable, the first model is always crap, that I should wait for more options later on, etc.

They tell me to buy a Japanese car instead too...or German.... I know I posted a thread earlier about getting a Subaru...but that would NOT be my car...I only drive American...the wife drives an Accord...but that is HER car.

Now another co-worker this morning brought up the bankrupt GM and how crappy they are now and told me to get a G37 or a Boxster instead...WTF?

And then he changes it to I should enjoy my young life instead of having a car payment and use the $500 I was gonna spend a month to go out and travel...listen here...I got married at 20...if anyone knows anything about not enjoying their 20s it's me...but you know what...I LOVE BEING MARRIED! I don't regret a single bit! And I prefer road trips over flying...so does the wife...what a perfect way to road trip in a 29MPG...300HP sports car!

If I would have said I was gonna get a Toyota Corolla...I bet no one would give me a hard time!

I'd like to add that my close friends (the few that I consider REAL friends) and MY parents are excited for me. Everyone else aren't.

...Those are just SOME of the excuses I get from people...

Your stories!
If somebody gives me a hard time for buying american ,i'll call them a communist and kick them in the Ding Ding.

Two people at my work yesterday were bitching about the gov owning 60% shares. Then i realized they both drove Nissan's so i called them out on it in a not so nice way that i can't say on this forum. They pretty much didn't say a word for the rest of the day.

I'm lucky the people I deal with on a daily basis are not so immature. Although I was washing my Z06 a few weeks ago and some chick (guy driving) yelled "LOSER" at me as they drove away in some older Acura.

It's American or bust in our family. We'd rather ride the bus than but anything but American.
