So I ended up going to Monument and ordered my car at no mark up.

Also do you go to the Kemah car meet up in the Home Depot parking lot on Saturday nights? If not you should there are a ton of awesome car that come. However there are a ton of 2005 + Mustangs and beside myself there is usually only a couple 5th gen Camaros.

I have just recently started going this past two months or so. Everyone I have talked to seem pretty cool. But I do understand how some people can be sometimes.

As many as people buy. They are not limited production despite what a lot of dealers will tell you.

Then why can't a dealer place an order for one unless he has a ZL1 allocation? And ZL1 convertible allocations are even more limited.

A few months ago a local dealer informed me that although GM stipulated no limits on ZL1 productions, there will still be limits on dealer allocations... small vs large scale volume dealers. But don't despair, even low volume delaers may still be able to obtain one through courtesy delivery from a large scal dealer in the region.

Remember there isn't a large market for ZL1 variants since most Camaro buyers opt for the V6 or V8 models.

And per Jeff Morris@ Chevrolet Customer Service: "The information that I have shows that production levels will be dictated by market demand and supply. The ZL1 is viewed as a more exclusive Camaro, therefore production is not expected to approach the level of the other models."
