First of all. This is a dealer problem, not GM's fault. People need to plug their brains in and realize that GM does not control dealerships.

What I suggest is take your order invoice and talk to the manager, if they don't give you the car at the agreed upon price, let them know that you're going to the media and BBB with this incident. If they refuse to try and keep you as a customer, actually do it. Call up your local news station and give them an exclusive interview (only one station), and let the media eat them alive.

Still very surprised...really I am.

Everyone with any experience has been saying to get your order in writing. If the dealer is offended by this, then slap the sucker and say, "I'm not going to be screwed here!" It's not that hard to ask for something in writing. Verbal agreements, while binding, are very difficult to prove without biased witness testimony, so written agreements with a signature from the salesperson, represents a legally binding contract. Failure to adhere to such a contract is a violation of the law.

You did not do this, so you are now suffering the consequences. The best thing to do now is contact the sales manager with your complaint. If this does not go as planned, kindly ask to speak to the owner. Owners are very eager to make sure you are happy.

Can't beleve how many dealers are pulling this shtuff Sorry to hear your dealer is a tool. You might get lucky and find one on the lot, doesn't help much I know. My dealer signed the msrp contract and so did I, that was one thing I asked him a few times. good luck with it

Alright, thanks for your help Legend, I'm going to wait a see what happens tomorrow.

Moderators, if one of you can suspend this thread it might help, as it appears the dealership wants me to avoid posting until this is matter is resolved. They said to avoid this forum (Camaro5 must be huge), and until I get an official word on this, I'm going to stop posting. Thanks everyone.

as long as you promise to come back and tell us what happened.... there are alot of us that are reading these type of posts (but not posting).

This makes me sick to think that behavior is tolerated by GM.

Yes, I said "GM" and not "dealer".... You guys that think GM should be ok with this.... and this is 100% the dealers fault have been brainwashed.

This is what is wrong with GM in the first place. Passing the buck, great mentality!

If someone is licensed to use your name to sell your cars, I'd say they are an extension of you and thus GM must take interest in their actions (b/c it reflects poorly on them).

GM needs to take control of their dealers! It starts from the top!

He doesn't want you to post about it? ROFLOL are you serious? Tell him to pull his head out of his ass. Tell him "it is what it is" and if you treat people like crap you'll be labeled as such.

if he doesn't like it, tell him to do the right thing in the first place.

I thought Tom Benson was an honest dealership. That's my "current" dealership! My dad cannot believe it. I told him and Uncle Bob to start looking at other dealership! I thought they were fair dealer after all theses year. Just takes one bad "saleman"!
